gief doesn't parry gief uses counter attacks, these also only work on kicks, daigo is a cheap loser that only won abusing a broken sf3 mechanic, parry? oh you mean the thing that stops normal/specials/supers/ultras and takes ZERO damage? i mean god take SOME chip damage at least, its a broken move. They removed it in sf4 for a reason, they tried it again in sf5 and its gone again, its cheap, this is why daigo is getting his butt handed to him in sf6, even cpu can beat him

@@STOP_FAKENEWS As much as I don't like how overcentralizing parry is in SF3 (even with throws, command grabs and certain other attacks ignoring parry entirely), there's a reason the Daigo Parry is so legendary. It's because he made one of the most clutch comebacks where mistiming even one single parry would have costed him the game. Also, they DID bring back parrying in SF6, and made some tweaks to it in order to make it much more balanced.
Like the other commenter said, it's just annoying. It's tradition to always do a set (Which is a best of 3 games) and in Ranked its specifically set up for players to play a proper set together. But lots of players tend to win (or especially lose) one game out of all 3 possible games and leave the lobby. I'm out here just wanting to play SF6 cause its a ton of fun, but too many people in my opinion are trying too hard to hold on to their ranking points. @@HadesTachyon
@@OhNoTheFace I remember one of the main complaints against it when it was introduced in V was that it was too limited in what it worked on, it was pretty much *only* horizonal standing kicks, many characters only had like one single button that it worked on (don't quote me, I don't play sf). Seems to be massively improved in 6.
I love how Tundra Storm is the move everyone agreed was bad but its so fun to pull out that it makes people wanna get good with it because of how hype it is
This play style makes pro gief players eg itazan and snakes eyes look like children, look at a double perfect parry to avoid ultras/supers and incorporating counter attacks, pros that don't use all moves restrict their ability to fight back, sure its fun to watch those two crawl out of a losing battle and take the game, but that kind of fighting tactic is a gamble, your chance may never come then what? i love all these counter attacks, it scares the opponent to try anything
