Looking like a lovely tank, and Walter is a very striking little fellow, too! I feel like immediately attempting to eat the snails is a signature move of shorter finned bettas. All of my plakats have immediately attempted to chew everything as soon as they go in their forever tank. haha I think your clover-shaped leaves are (Hydrocotyle Leucocephala) Brazilian Pennywort, by the way. Not sure if it's quite as large as a typical BP leaf, but it's definitely a Hydrocotyle species. It might also be Hydrocotyle Tripartita or Hydrocotyle Sibthorpioides, two dwarf pennywort species that are also very common. One of my favorite categories of plants, especially in betta tanks. They give great places to rest on. :)
