Man I've been waiting to see more of dawsons truck I'm in western australia we have a similar cars called a Toyota hilux but the tacomas and like a hybrid of 2 year groups we have a body style from 1989 to 1997 and 1997 to 2004 I can't wait to get a tacoma myself shipped here it'll be awesome can we get a more in depth video of his truck I could even make a response video showing the differenced between my trucks and his !

I've never been a huge fan of Cali Combos, but I always thought they were just a skin that went over the tailgate (with a sort of integrated roll pan....and I'm pretty sure I saw one installed that way in a magazine YEARS ago.) Neat to see the process. I like this one on the Toyota.
Have a 91 toyota pickup.. had the same issue when I added my cali combo.. had to add sum metal in.. I was in the same situation as far as bed wasn't in the best shape.. mine was pretty rough actually 😂
Looks good I always make fillers for the skin to taillight opening on the skin side like stock on the taillight side to be if that makes sense u can make it fit the tail lights better that way and can't see no cracks between
