Not really anything dangerous gas don’t explode without oxygen being there. Otherwise anyone with a gas stove or heater in their home is basically this. The gas is metered down. An the only time theirs flame for the heater or the stove is right when it comes out an starts mixing with air.
Hey bro I just started going to school for this I hope I can Learn this always wanted to learn or do this for a living you got any good feed back you can help with 😬🙏👍🏼👍🏼up
Really glad that guy is pointing to that big ball of fire. I would have totally missed out on noticing that without his friendly help. Thank's so much for the guidance mr construction dude. Love ya' mean it!
I like that rig they got setup for it, increase the pressure creating a constant back pressure from behind so even if the gas ignites the pressure will ALWAYS be facing outwards regardless of the progress of the weld! U can see jn the flame it almost shot back inwards as he was welding! I'm no expert that's just what I think feel free to correct me I encourage it actually!
we do not get paid enough trust me compared to other office jobs ect. your health takes a hit and some of these guys are away from home a family for periods of time,, in the very end you have to decide if thats worth it.
😂 That fire watch has taken his job title way to literally! May God be with you brother! There is no other feeling like it when you strike an ark and flames start coming out of the pipe for the first time.
My wife loves me for the man I am , she’s always telling me how most women bash men and women don’t realize how hard men really work. I’m an electrician and mad respect for these blue colored workers.
Hahahaha there ain't no room for gender fluiduty and pronouns in this kind of work. It's work like the that makes these soft dudes want to play dress up and use the women's restroom 🚽 ! Turning nick into pee-she Nikki since the beginning of fusing metal together using electricity era!!
@Daven Hiskey I never seen anyone else comment the same thing. Came straight out of my own head without ever hearing it from anyone else. I'm entitled to my own opinion. So, feel free to pisoff. 😉
That’s a weird comment that usually stems from deep-rooted insecurities. I’m more willing to bet it’s a woman in there welding that pipe than you. Instead of making your sexism blatantly obvious, try widening your perspective and maybe encouraging more women to be involved in this field?
They makin 22 an hour where I’m from😂its pathetic and actually sad how undervalued this is. compared to real work like this making sometimes as low as 35-40 it hurts to know the truth
I knew a guy that used to stick-weld repairs on live transmission lines. My opinion on the fire extinguisher? Better to have a line on the welder to yank him out immediately if a mishap was to occur. That guy is on his own
When it's 7:00 a.m. and the format tells you - hand, you finish that weld you can go ahead and take the rest of the day off and we'll put you down for 12.
Lol u ever tried to weld pipe? You can fail a B pressure test before you even start it good welders make it look easy theres alot of shit to know and skill to tie in properly
I kinda wish there was more context? like, are they doing a "repair" or splicing in a T-connector pipe, for some reason? Don't get me wrong, its cool whats going on, kinda crazy.. never seen this done before in regards to welding...
Bro its easy just imagine drawing a whole bunch of little circles on to a pipe now make everything muddy now make everything super heavy now set it all on fire
wow dude I was just actually wondering about this. I have a huge gas pipeline company as my neighbor and I grew up with the grandson of that company and some years back he ask me if I wanted to come work with him as his helper but I just didn’t want to be around blue collar talk all day long ya know.. but I always wondered about welding live gas and you boys game me an awesome look see 👀
People commenting not realizing that welding into gas lines is typically done live. With 100% rich NG flowing in the pipe it can’t explode. It’s above its upper explosive limit in saturation. Thus the live burn off. If any is leaking it burns instead of concentrating and reaching the lower explosive limit. This really isn’t that spectacular.
