Like with all his videos (not criticism, they are good the way he does them) they are filmed over a long period of time. I'm pretty sure his foot has already been healed for quite a while. Was probably early summer or something that he broke it (just guessing).
I have a dude in my office job who took sick leave for 3 weeks because he had knee surgery and couldn't walk, even though we only have one office day per week and it's not mandatory. Could have easily just worked from home those three weeks. And then there's Andrew doing some welding and excavating with a broken foot, lol
Yes marginal aquatics will help esp with reducing excess nutrients, which will also reduce potential algae. Must say ive had great success using straw bales to clear water in my ponds, esp newly built with the colloids still in suspension. Carbon absorbs and the microbes that comes and is added along with the straw also plays a role in clearing the pond water. There are some research about barley straw too.
I feel like if every bone in the man’s body were literally broken, he’d still be operating an excavator with mind control or some shit, this dude is an absolute unit💪🏻
Greetings from Athens - Hellas (Greece)! Mr Andrew Camarata you are a legend. Your videos are psychotherapeutic, they can heal depression, also you are a brilliant mechanic and you easy teach others about big vehicles. May always be Healthy and Happy...
Andrew, I'm an x-ray tech so listen. If the fracture is at the bottom of the 5th metatarsal then there is an increased chance the blood supply can be cut off which creates its own problems. Be sure to follow your doctor's advice because of the reason mentioned. Still, I love your "can do" attitude! You're an inspiration!!!!
Hal's Pals, what do you think the chances are of his ignoring his doctor's advice and, instead, taking advice from, God knows who or what, in a YT comments section?
Broken foot, still works like nothing is wrong, we need more people like andrew. Always great videos and i think the pond is probably the nicest addition to your mountaintop. Keep up your great work and stay safe
What I love about your videos is how you only say the things that need to be said, and the footage tells the rest od the story. I also love how you don't try and push any politics or ideas. This is a rare and special channel, keep it up!
I love how due to the length of time he records videos over, by the end of the video his foot is back to normal. Shows the timescales and dedication over them! Wonder how many projects he has on the do at once? The footage must be interesting to try and keep organised
Although I am NOTHING like Andrew, I keep folder of projects and shove all the footage in them after each day. They assemble themselves in date order so it's not that hard.. More difficult with screen-recoeds, drone footage and more than one camera..!
Great video. Glad to see you back hope the foot heals up good. Can’t wait for more videos. Your ways doing something interesting and fun as well as creative.
Ingenuity at work again on the larger bucket adaptation. Amazing transformation from an ugly spot to a beautiful pond & surroundings. Great to see Samantha and you working together again and enjoying the dogs. Can't get over their love of water! 👍👍👍
i am so happy for both of you, you have it all now andrew, and then you build your dogs a pond just for fun. what a man you are. god bless you all. thank you for the video andrew. the road up to the trailers is looking so good.
@@Trialnerror what? Try again. Andrew doesn't have any kids. Probably just another one of his friends. Ever see when he goes snowmobiling or 4 wheeling how large his friend group is?
Broken fifth metatarsal is no joke. Took four months to recover from mine about 20 years ago. At least was able to avoid surgery. Hope yours goes well, Andrew!
Another great video from the best team on RU-vid! I hate you broke the foot but as we've seen it doesn't slow you down, Loved watching the pond come together and keep up the great content you two!
Great video, Andrew! Some work, some healing, some pups and Samantha! All together with a new pup pond. Doesn't get much better than this! Be well, be safe!
that last shot was well done. its so fun getting cinematic shots with the DJI drones. a little more effort of course but those smooth shots are so worth it.
Looks great Andrew. You might want to consider selecting specific species of plants to put in the pond, not to overtake it but to help filter the water. Not sure how fish would survive with the critters in it woods but if it's deep enough they might survive
@@AndrewCamarata Tank you Andrew we watch from Europe, outstanding work as always, Blu did grow quick.. both dogs love that pond since was small with dirty water and even more after rain when you added blue stuff ! Big Love man, keep us happy with any content you can !
@@AndrewCamarata hey Andrew I bought 2 hoodies off your website what us taking yo so long to ship them its been 7 days I didn't get a notice in my email please let me know thanks
Just discovered your channel. The best tool I found in years.. In a week's time I've discovered how to curb 20K off our upcoming land purchase new home and garage build. Thank you keep the great work
Considering all the stuff you get into you managed to break a foot running. You kept on working, god for you. Nice pond for the dogs, they obviously like it. Thanks for sharing.
Nice work! I've seen you weld on Kubota ears like this before, using the machines coupler and some c clamps to get them in the correct position. Not sure if you do this but it wasn't shown in the video, but adding a 1/16" shim between one ear and the coupler helps a lot. I did one that ended up a bit too tight.
This guy is an animal. True definition of a hard worker! I'm laying here just got a new hip 3 days ago thinking you couldn't pay me enough to do that. KEEP UP YHE GREAT WORK!
We've admired Andrew's work ethic and unstoppable can-do attitude. Seeing this episode reminded us that the road up to mountain-top really needs attention. Animatedly looking to see Andrew do this.
Another great video , as usual . Love the pond , looks great , only going to improve over time , plants would be great . I think that Blue is the smart one he waits till Cody has done the work then takes the bounty himself !! Cant wait to see the rock crusher in action , you have a lot of road surfaces to improve !!
At the end of the video, when your drone was flying high and pulling back, one can see a series of large lakes off in the distance and to the left of the middle on some of the hills out there. I think that it's an awkward place to see lakes of that size and grouping on the side of that hill, but I could be wrong. The question I have is "are they natural lakes or dug and manicured by some humans"? You have shown us some very interesting landmarks in the past with rocks and water and hills. This type of ending is one of your video trademarks, and it adds so much of a peaceful conclusion to them that it is nice to see it coming rather than the abrupt ending that so many other people have on their videos. This is one reason that you get so many compliments on the camera work you do.
glad youre getting around! I rolled my left ankle getting off my kabota tractor last month in a wash out. severe sprain.. lucky it didnt break! No joke when youre incapacitated. 2 days ago i dropped a deep cycle battery on the other foot because the cheap handle broke.. stupid cheap plastic junk! now im hobbling around again! You got a good aide there to keep you mobile!!
I think the Video with the Excavator Shovel is an older Video, in the Last Video he walk normally (The Video where he reparis the Road up the Hill) Hope it´s correct, my english isn´t very well 😅
15:13 for those wondering what happened to Andrews foot... Although I would suggest watching the full video, as Andrew is one of the best content creators on RU-vid.
Nice work Andrew! Hoping you heal quickly! Used to do a lot of Ortho surgery up here in Albany. Hopefully you didn’t need surgery! I guess you went to Kingston if you needed surgery. Great video, great pond!
LOL I have to smile at your way of uncomplicatedly solving complicated issues. I live in another country, but would love to work with you. TWO thumbs up !
The Advantage of youth!. leg support was off by the time the video wa ended over period of month or so. glad to see the pond held its water. at my age it would take a year for that leg to heal (pushing 80) But it's kinda hard for me to break anything unless I fall out of this chair! which is whereI spend most my days watching YT!. Thanks again Adndrew for another interesting video and for sharing. ECF
Lets be real, not many of us have the determination of AC to keep working, with a broken foot. Man is just built different. AC is so underrated and underappreciated. Andrew, you're an absolute unit, keep on man, we will always wait for you. Heal up soon, and keep on keepin on
Let's see Sam on the excavator and other equipment. I think she has become an important part of the show now. I think she would be an excellent operator if given the chance. Instead of driving all the vehicles. Give her a chance....
Hi, Andrew - obviously not for heavy work, but just for mucking around the house I use velcro strapped old man shoes just for between the house and the shop. It's almost impossible to trip over them and I have to get them on in a hurry when taking the dog out in the middle 'o' the night so similar setup as what you were doing, on a nightly basis. Brooks Addiction Walkers are AMAZING!!! I'm due for another pair.
Any guy that builds a pond, apparently for his dogs, and just to sit by,,, is alright by me!! I’m jealous of the lifestyle, but even though he could afford some time off with a broken foot, he doesn’t stop!! I like the brace he was using wayyyy better than crutches. Barely slowed him down! Great invention. Thanks Andrew and Sam.
Your grass seed was coming up pretty good also . Well Andrew looks like you found a friendly , pretty young gal and it looks like she’s a great match Pond looks great ThankYou Andrew wish I lived closer
I would be very interested to see what sort of plans you've drawn out on paper or in your imagination for the mountain top property. The puppy pond was a great idea. I'm fairly sure you aren't just going haphazard. Show us your ideas.
You know Lionel, I kind of like the way Andrew sees an opportunity and capitalises on it. I'm guessing he sees potential in something, (a tool, a part, a bucket, or a location etc) and develops a concept that works for him, does the mental logistics on it, weighs up the cost/benefit (is it worth it) and then goes for it. There is nothing wrong with that. In fact, it is probably the most efficient way to do things; no plans to draw up, and redraw and follow.... Well done Andrew (and helpers).
@@elliejackson6907 - I’m pretty sure you are exactly right!”😂😂. He can see the end results in his head before doing the work! I work similarly. If I have very specific plans, they change anyway. I do a lot of decks for family and friends and I have it in my head. Lumber list, everything. Eventually I will write the number and size of the lumber needed as well as concrete etc. then I mark it out and build it. Since I get very great responses to the product I build, I guess people that know me have come to trust me. I take their tastes and styles, budgets get expanded because it’s a hobby for me. I cover my costs plus about 10%. I don’t do any work for strangers or people that do not know me well. I only book one job at a time so my plans don’t get messed up!😂😂. They are floating free form up there!! Heh heh. Andrew is much the same, BUT I believe he can juggle more than one project very easily!! Makes me a bit jealous,,, haha. You are definitely good at determining how a person seems to think.
Excellent video Andrew, pupperoni's needed a water hole to jump into, and that one is really nice. Very zen video, nice to relax with. Nice to see you and Sam chillin'. Btw, Dirt Perfect, Mat from Diesel Creek, and letsdig18 want you to show up to some events. Matt from diesel creek does a lot of antique excavation shows, you should go to one. Cross pollinate the channels, it provides great content and you would go crazy operating cable equipment..I guarantee it!
That's pond is amazing 👏 😍 you guys did a great job. This was a good'ol old school top of the line video. Well done. Made me feel like I was apart of it. You truly have an amazing life. You're so very very Blessed. Your hard work has been multiplied 10 fold because you're such a good man. 👍
Your work ethic and pure tenacity is amazing Your planning execution and work is quality it’s a great pleasure following the videos of you and your partner not forgetting the dogs👍👍👍🏴
sorry to see you on the injured list and as always thanks for the videos! its funny to see what they turned the walking cast into.. it was first used in india to help with amputees and was originally 2 boards a length of branch and some rope....im betting your cast costs hundreds when the original cost pennies
Andrew, congratulations on your ability to overcome the broken foot. Re the pond, there's obviously a lot of silt/clay in there. Would a gravel lining help and/or an aerator/filter assy?
I can't believe he's driving with his left foot😂, that's actually crazy, I've tried doing that just out of curiosity and I legit almost crashed, your left foot just isn't used to the light touch required for driving, so that is seriously impressive on his part, must have taken him a bit to get used to
That’s probably true for anyone who didn’t do any go karting as a kid. I can regulate both my feet just as well. In karting you brake exclusively with your left foot.
I broke my right leg, ankle, and foot in several places many years ago, and once I got out of the hospital, just 3 weeks later was driving my cars again. First few times it's a little sketchy, but you quickly get the hang of it. Using your left foot to brake takes some getting used to. Even after my foot was considered "healed", I continued using my left foot to brake for a while, until I built up strength in my right foot and got the muscles in my right leg back up to par.
@@AndrewCamarata lol right cause it's on the other side, that's crazy....you know what would be an awesome video, you buying an old little postal truck and doing like a tour of the thing about all it's 'quirks and features' and like accidentally roll it off a cliff like what happened with that Toyota you had😂
@@AndrewCamarata I think you may have a scammer that responded to Andrew London. And they have been saying to others they have gifts just didn't want anybody to get scammed. Just a heads up they are using your same RU-vid profile picture. Love your content keep it up brother!
Lol I just recovered from a broken ankle and bought the same thing. Its so much better than crutches for short distances and you can actually still get things done. Good luck and keep up the good vids
Hell yes.. another awesome video I've never seen a leg support like that before. In the UK we just have a soft oversized foam rubber boot we wear over the cast and try to walk as normal which improves healing and circulation
You mean those that still let you walk around with the hard plastic bottom? I saw some screen shots of Andrew wearing that over on the Facebook fan page (I think).
iam from greece, my father was disabled from a stroke 10 years ago, he died 6 months ago , he loved your videos , wached them every day because he was just like you he knew how to fix and operate almost everything, waching you i remember him when he was happy and makes me happy, keep do in what you love, he wached you from a tv and i just find out your chanel again i will sub
