14' x 8' cattle guard 4 1/2 drill stem and 8 inch C channel Excavating, building forms and pouring concrete for footings Installation Everlast 300, Hypertherm 30XP, John Deere 317 skid steer
Been gettin tired of my cows following me out of the gate for awhile now and I’m about fed up, just last week one of on crazies followed me out and ran down the road ended up getting a couple of deputies to help me get her back up, luckily my brother has easy access to some good steel and another good friend of mine does do some concrete work I think this video will help me keep them ole girls behind the fence where they need to be.
Wow! That was really slick and turned out beautifully. My neighbors and I are going to be building one, and I'm doing research on RU-vid, Your video came up first, and I think my research is now complete. Thanks for sharing, and as always, keep building 👍
Looks good. I was wondering how you were going to keep them from jumping the corner since you didn't put the guard midway of the fence and then you showed that in like the final 10 seconds of the video :)
I picked the material up myself but spent around $1600 on materials. Probably went up 50% more in the past year. Are you planning on doing something similar?
Yep but I don’t have the equipment, so trying to evaluate costs vs having a local guy do it for me- what I gain in labor is lost in rentals. Thanks for the help. Blessings. Jim
How many hours do you think it took you to cut all the metal, form it up and weld it all together? Just the metal fabrication, not the install. Thanks 😊
Page 1 of the linked pdf has a drawing of the footings and I went off that www.dot.state.wy.us/files/live/sites/wydot/files/shared/Engineering_Services/Standard%20Plans/615-1%20%20(NOV_2004).pdf
