I have been an HTP customer for over 30 years and will be adding this machine to my shop. My old HTP 240 is still kicking butt. I have a suggestion, send Jody Collier and Bob Moffat this machine for review.
Dang thing seems to damn good to be reliable , I feel like with all the technology in it I’ll mess up after a few months , has anybody had this things over 1 year?
This machine has a very complete welding programs, the double pulse mode is just magnific, the only thing i dont like is the wire feeder; its almost all plastic
Plastic? This is a Swiss made wire feeder mechanism. Not just plastic. These machines are made from high quality components throughout. You are correct about the double pulse and other features of the machine. The Revolution 2500 is on another level.
What a great machine! Love the automatic polarity change for self shielded MIG. Also the familiar and intitive fine tuning knobs with independent displays. "Turn me up five" still works for the helper 💪
Seems like a very nice machine, maybe a touch intimidating tho. I was waiting on a video of this to truly see what all it does. As always Tim presented it great.
Thanks, It can seem a little intimidating but it is quite easy to use and navigate through the programs. If you look at it like a machine that does it all- and does it well - you are on the right track. You can leave everything hooked up and ready to go. You don't need to swap polarity because the machine does it for you-no fumbling with the extra cables. Two gas solenoids and automatic switching between them. Your TIG welder is all ready to go. You get the idea. Watch Tim Welds videos. He knows what is what and can explain it too. His online classes are a valuable resource.
Thanks! It does a lot, but I thought it was pretty easy to use compared to a lot of machines. In the video manual, I went over all the available options in the deeper menus to be a point of reference, but it's set up such that you don't really have to mess with those settings to produce a great weld in most situations. Besides selecting the process and amperage/material thickness, the only setting that I found necessary to chnange from the default for basic welding is the post flow on TIG.
@@usaweldThanks for the reply, do you have a warranty on them once they are shipped overseas? Also, does the machine work with the 240v supply at 50hz which we run in the UK? If so i may order one, then maybe more for our business.
