I was informed, correctly, that her name was Diamanté. I follow her from early days and called her Dee…………But in England everyone has a shortened name….im RICHARD, and I. got to live with DICK….but somehow women do get offended by affectionate short-names/ nick names Don’t ask me why., never worked it out meself😄🧐
This is such an awesome production. Keep those aces up your sleeve. Tea time!..where my buiscuits at! Lmao...i miss my dog now....safety glasses for the win!
Nice one Dee, the fact that you understand what’s going on must mean you’re half way there👍🏼 I’m very new to tig and I’m shit😜 Might get you to weld my next tank up 😉
Maaaate I hear you ! I have a bike on the bench ,,,, ( for me youngest) use a headstock from one model, and the stem doesn't fit,,, make new stem,,,, order spokes not available til July Today Im playing with cad ( cardboard aided design) ANYONE who has built a chop from scratch My hat goes off to you its "involved" !
Can be very frustrating, but the end is never far away if you love what your doing, then you start another build and remember the stress from the last one 😂😂😂
Use a big chunk of wood to rest your arm on , be comfortable, with your welding try making a weld pool and then adding wire, then move forward , repeat . Watch out for those big gas lenses sometimes a plain old #8 will be ok , also try a shade 9 or 10 lense so you can see what your doing . Good luck . Cheers
Don't forget she's using my set up not hers. Which makes it even harder for her to cope with. More kudos to her for dealing with my settings, torch cup etc etc
Hello from France ( as always) !! whooo , I'm the first to comment this day ... Poor Simon, "She" find the biscuit, and ... the dog catch them !! 🤣 I hope you're not running out of tea, my dear Friend !! I'm still laughing, lol So, I'll be watching the rest of the mechanics teach ✌🤟 John Christopher
My birthday is on the 24th June I'd happily pay to hear that duo, I buy my flapper discs in 20 packs so I can spare a few, il throw in two tungsten rods too for when deimante kept taking the torch away too early 😅
Hi Dee. Next time you have to tig weld, rest your torch forearm on a tool box or something similar to help keep your hand steady. Also PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT USE BRAKE CLEANER AS A WELDING PREP/CLEANER!!!!!!!!!!!!. Hot fumes from that shit are extremely toxic. Use acetone or paint thinners. Love your work by the way.
Brake cleaner to clean prior welding? Where did you see that? 🤷🤦🏻 Obviously the tank was cleaned of swarf from drilling etc but that was ages before welding.
@@MINTCUSTOM5 Hi Simon. UV light and heat causes chloronated cleaners like brake cleaners to release Phosgene gas which is extremely toxic. There are numerous article on the internet about it. I heard about it myself only a few years ago at my work. Keep up the good work I love the workshop episodes much more than the general bike review type stuff.
"Best Pep Talk Ever" .... then send the oil tank off to X-ray testing ... Did Simon ever find out the pup stole his biscuits? Or the crumbs on the seat?
I wish she'd ask me what she could do first... I'd say start with the engine and the rest just happens, I guess. Hope this doesn't get me kicked off. I really hope this doesn't get me kicked off. Heck I absolutely love ya Tomboy-a-bit...
Tomboy. Enjoy your videos. From, Georgia, USA. Have a couple of motorcycles, the latest I am fixing up...is a 2005 Kawasaki Vulcan 750. I need to weld a Sissy Bar onto it so need to learn welding as well. I need to buy something that I can practice with that will do the job, but I don't know which welder to buy. Don't want something terribly expensive cause I won't be welding that much. Any suggestion? The one you were welding with, what is it and what will it do?
My tig is a Jassic pro 200 ac/dc. Retail over here for that machine is about £1600. My mig is a Kempii pro 200 about the same price. I would suggest a min of 180a mig to start with budget for around £400 for something that would do whatever you'd need. There's plenty of RU-vid videos that can help or go back through this series where I teach D to mig weld you should get some tips from that. Good luck on your build 😊 SIMON.
That man talks to you the way he does because he knows you can do it. There isn't a welding job out there that a woman can't do. I've been a welder my whole life and know for a fact that a woman can do it. There is no doubt in my mind that you can do it. Practice, practice, practice. If you can ride a harley, you can weld up the oil tank for it.
@@jackwillson8099 Hello from France, Miss and Simon,... To answer to jackwilson8099 : One great Master who's name is " Il Mint Professore "...!! Watch vlog before, and you'll see one of there training session, who the "student"overtake the Master ! lol
@@MINTCUSTOM5Hello from France, as Always !! Ohhhh!! Simon, " Il Mint Professore..."!! It's more simple when we certified....by ourself !! , brilliant...! Brilliant...!! ( it's already what I do on my job !)😁 But, be careful, my dear Simon, Deimante is looking just over your elbow ,and ready to eject yourself ! ( remember this precedent vlog, where you teach them to MIG weld ..😂
@Doors_of_Perception it would be easier for you to turn your volume down? Or mute it? Building choppers is mainly using grinders and cutters unfortunately 😕
