Thank you, captain. I really appreciate your awesome feedback and it keeps me motivated on making more Videos Thanks for being part of the channel, captain.
I think you need a bigger tank or a second in hull tank. The rule of thumb is 1/3 out, 1/3 back, 1/3 in reserve. That reserve can be to save other people. And if they follow the same rule they can save you. It would make a great video....
Hello Capt👋🏼 Always a pleasure seeing you out on “The Crooked Pilothouse” Tile fish can be very delicious, however watch how much you eat! They are very high in mercury content! Stay safe Capt, stick with the blueberry pan cakes!🤙🏻 God bless You and Yours🙏🏼🙏🏼
Well, captain, I did not know that. Thank you for letting me know plus there were small ones so I guess they have less Mercury. And yes, more blueberry pancakes on the way. LOL thank you for watching captain.😉👍⚓️🐟
Love your videos Captain! Been watching for years after i got my 190 FSH. To this day because of your cool accent my wife and I still call it the Jamaha😂. Keep up the great work!
Lol cap. I like it, and thank you and your wife for supporting my channel by watching, and that 190 fsh is a awesome boat cap. I had great memories as you saw in my past videos 👍😉⚓️🐟🦈
Great video and loved the solo harbor and drone shot of shark cruising. Your videos have motivated me to get my old boat ready for overnights in 2024. Thanks!
Awesome cap. There is nothing like it, Peace and quiet , get that boat ready cap. And hopefully i will see you on the water, and thanks for watching my channel cap.
Did you still have the magnet on the rig? Thank you for trying the tilefish without the Tartar sauce. Taste the real fish, then add the fluff for an addition. Peace and quiet is everything. Well done, Captain. Great meal. You def have the mini yacht, all of the creatures of comfort on the Crooked Pilot House.
thanks cap and yes i agree fish without Sause fist 😉👍 thanks cap i have worked hard to make the Crooked Pilthouse a little home, thanks for watching cap.
Wow that water is so beautiful and you were so blessed captain to have a Beautiful smooth day like that , can see the bottom so good and definitely more effecient for the boat fuel mileage
Hello from Sydney Australia Cap, your videos and your boat are inspirational, you've inspired me to take by boat upto Queensland for an island Camping and fishing trip. Can’t wait. I have to ask you Cap, why do you hide your face in your videos... Your living life to it's max... keep safe and keep doing what you're doing.
Hello, captain, and thank you for watching all the way from beautiful Australia. And you gonna have an awesome time? And also the reason that I covered my face is to keep my private life Private captain, that's all. Thank you for watching my channel and see you on the next one and have a great trip.
Nice cap. Thats what i love to do Is spending nights and fishing and I hope you have an awesome great weather window. Captain, see you on the next one.👍😉
What an awesome boat. If it had a full transom and the outboard mounted on a bracket you could have a little bit extra more room. Still a beautiful vessel
Well done video. Very nice. And you did get your shark shot. PS. I have done hundreds of night dives. But you are right, you can’t see beyond the beam of your light. So if there were sharks around, I never saw them. And we would do dives to the bottom of the reefs where they meet the sand at around 120’. Your meal looked muy Sabroso.
@@Paul-bc5vi Thank you, captain, for letting me know. Another viewer told me the same thing. I guess they were small enough not to have a lot of Mercury. But definitely, I'll keep my Eye on that. Thank you for the heads up, captain.😉👍⚓️🐟
Another great video, sometimes there is no civility. Ppl trying to out loud each other. Luckily there are plenty of secluded places in the Bahamas. I have a large boat and seldom do we dock. You are not going to see us become Dock Queens. 😂 Keep up the good work. God bless.❤
Lol cap. On the dock Queens🤣👍👍 And you're doing awesome by spending time on the water. Same as me, thank you for watching captain. And love your comment👍👍⚓️
Tilefish are really tasty. Expensive in fish markets and restaurants. Glad you got to try some. Your glass calm water was beautiful. You may wish to try Andros sometime. Not heavily fished and really nice.
Lol captain And yes, these waters are very impressive. Especially when the wind comes down. Thank you for coming aboard my trip. Captain, and see you on the next one.
Captain, when was this video taken? We are in November now with NE winds stirring up the waves. Those seas are indicative of June,July and August with SW winds.
Hey cap, great video as always, have you ever thought about running to Cuba? Is it within your reach or is that a bit dodgy with the drug situation heading that way? Keep the videos coming mate, I love them and its rekindling my fire to get my old girl done and getting back out on the water, should be March next year. Keep safe, all the best, Steve
hello cap. traveling to Cuba is not permitted by USA i could get a fine and is not worth it , Bahamas has as much of beautiful waters and great fishing, not worth it cap. thanks for watching cap.
I enjoyed the video. Days like that are what we dream for. If you don't mind me asking, what month did this trip take place? Thank you for taking us along.
Another great vid cap! Tilefish is delicious! You should try it as sashimi! And as always, the crooked pilot house boat continues to amaze me. You have most amenities that those huge yachts have for a fraction of the cost. We hope to get our boat to that level one day! What new modifications are you thinking of doing next?
Hello cap. And thanks , well the next items i need to update is the underwater light because 1 of the is not working only that for now, hope your boat keeps improving with time, remember it took me years to make mine the way it is and lots of money, i think i have put in it over $18k🤣
@@OutOnTheReef that’s incredible! I have to replace my underwater lights as well. I think we have spent close to the same amount WITHOUT the motor. What’s saved us is doing the work ourselves. Imagine the labor costs for the work and engineering you’ve done! 😳
@perfectfitboating yes very true cap. Doing the work yourself saves alot Otherwise, we can afford what we're doing., And your advantage is that you pay very little for your boat. I pay a lot plus the add-ons🤣😢😬
You are living the dream Captain and I continue to enjoy your travel adventures. A couple of questions: Now that you relocated your generator and appear to be using it more are you having to carry extra fuel containers or is the gen connected to the Crooked Pilothouse main fuel tank? Also, how are you able to stay in touch with your wife do you have starlink or other means of communication? Maybe your cell phone works out there?
hello cap the cell phone works great in this areas and the generator uses very little fuel 7hrs on 1 gallon so i carry about 12 gallons extra for the generator plus i can take fuel of the main tank, thanks for watching cap.👍👍😉⚓
What is range of this boat? How much gas it takes per hour at different speeds? Can you go all over the Bahamas with out running out of gas? Great video!
I dk if I will ever go and see for myself but can we see johnnys pls place or island and or see it via drone like around idk but I’m just so curious. I wouldn’t ask yeah to drive the site around it that’s probably dangerous so!
Hello Andrea, and I love Johnny Depp's island and 1 day. I may reach into that area. And I will definitely show you his island. And thank you for washing my channel and for your request.
Hi Capt... another great video, Thank you! In all the years we cruised on our boats, we always preferred to be at anchor, especially over night. There's more privacy. It's quiet, and the stars are more brilliant especially in the remote anchorages which is where we preferred to anchor... When we were in the Bahamas (1980's) there were almost zero reliable charts. Most were hand-drawn by some other cruising people. There was no GPS and even LORAN was not very reliable over there. Are your GPS plotter charts reliable? Accurate? Do you have any reliable paper charts?
Wow cap. I dont know if i will navigate Without a chart plotter. It's very difficult, especially in this water that is very shallow. I guess you guys were the re or navigators Those days And no I do not have paper chart letters. If my GPS goes off. The sun is my next option, LOL. And thank you for always watching and commenting captain
Get a ‘“Sharrow Propeller” to increase range up to 20% . They cost $5,000.- and they customize to your boat when special ordered. A boat owner like you could get it to pay back in costs of fuel quickly. Good luck 4:28
Hello cap. Is a safety measure to make sure no one is on the propeller before starting and i hope ot help awareness to prevent accidents, which there is been fatal accidents that i have herd of, please always make sure you Prop Clear before starting your engine, thanks fpr watching cap.
Hi Capt. The water is absolutely amazing. So clean and crystal clear. Judging by the size of that shark, if your wife really loves you, she will understand “You’re gonna need a bigger boat!” 🤣 Your commentary about bigger boats leaving happens in Australia too. This year, Jan 26 (Australia Day) my wife and I woke up tatvWhitehaven Beach in Queensland to have the place all to ourselves. Whitehaven is in the top 10 beaches in the world. Life really is better with a boat. 🍺🍺🍺🍺🛥💨🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺 Hey, you appear to be enjoying your beers, my Aussie influence isn’t rubbing off on you, it’s it?!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺
Lol cap. You are a influence in me😁👍and you and your wife ware lucky to have that beautiful place by your selfs ,u understand me 100% And yes if the sharks are getting bigger my boat needs to be bigger lol cap. Thanks for watching cap 👍
