I've got the exact same gun I took apart years ago because the gearbox made a weird grinding noise and couldn't get it back together. Thinking of getting a new gear box and putting back together after watching this 👍🏼
In my tm mp7 ive did the lipo mod and mine is fitted in the gun. There is a vid on youtube showing how to do mod the battery.. but watch the front of the gear box they fail with the whole front cracking and coming off, thats what mine did, and its a common problem, ive studied the gear box and they have big flaws in the front making them weak, and being made from cheap pot alloy its only a matter of time, you can grind all the square corners with a little round to force the shock into the part, i did 3d print a tpu buffa that the mag push against to hold the front of the gearbox to stop the shock of the piston doing the damage. As you cant get the og tm gearbox frames in the uk i did find the tm gears do fit a part from gear that the motor goes too. Also the gear box needed grinding out as the tm gear box as a space under the piston gear where these dont which in turn grinds on the gear.. great little side arms but shame it has weak gear boxs only due to crap design others wise you could boost these little babies to much higher joules but dont add stronger spring it just end up in 1000s of alloy bits..
Logically to get significantly more fps you could just run an eagle 6 airsoft spring to get 250-300 fps. Or get a 6.00mm supertightbore barrel from evike and a nineball full air seal bucking. That will raise accuracy and fps quite a bit. The stock cylinder head sucks because it has way too much play and is made of plastic, so air leaks every time it cycles, I was only getting 160 fps with .20 gram bbs.
My Well R4 doesn't seem to work (never really has) - I've tried two different batteries and two different chargers. Will you take a look? I'm also UK based, will pay :)

Not oo reliable anymore I'm afraid, they work great but are just too weak for modern airsofting, parts aren't readily available either. If you want an aeg mp7, best go with a umarex

So since this is a more up to date video on the R4 I have a question. I got mine today and it was shooting fine. But now it double feeds and bb's just roll out of the barrel. Idk if it's something to do with airseal or maybe the hop but I'm unsure. I don't really want to do an RMA for Taiwan Gun since it'll take weeks. Any idea? Thanks.
