Testing a Goulds - Xylem 1/2 horsepower well pump and a 1 HP Red Lion well pump from Amazon. Both at 300 feet deep on 1 inch PVC drop pipe. Compare world results with advertised performance charts.
Are there real world figures for how low each pump lasts? I'm having my pump replaced next month. Don't know the brand but it is believed to be 1/2 horse and 105 deep. It is 45 years old and still working. Since I'm over 70, I'm looking for a pump that will work for 25 years but also not break the S.S. bank!
