reality is: full imunity IS the problem, just like in magnaX. i get it that purple was a meanance a couple sets ago but holy shit, now we are giving imunity against mons/options FXs to everything (including literal walls).
@@laww8968 I wasn't saying Magnamon is a problem. I just meant that A Magnamon on turn 3 is probably a lot more concerning than a Mother with blocker on turn 3.
Errata on Shoto is the way to go. I'm sure the designers didn't intend for a Shoto and Mother Reaper combo. Shoto should just be for Vortex Warriors or at least just green cards.
I’m not a huge fan of the Mother D wall, but there are ways to play around it like speed plug-in. I just don’t love that it’s just brought from the raising area as that HUGE body and they don’t have to work to go into it
This isn't Yu-Gi-Oh. You shouldn't have to tech in cards you wouldn't normally use in your deck because of one particular match-up that won't be useful in other match-ups. Especially with no side deck.
@@Shades14It’s a big body that can’t attack. They lose out on not being able to digivolve in back. Tamers usually don’t provide enough pressure, the hybrids aren’t strong, the aces are hella telegraphed. Heck, most decks you don’t even need to add “special” cards to deal with mother. Change your playstyle. This deck dies to tempo and value decks, which majority of the decks are right now.
Yeah, sadly, I can see EX7 Shoto getting limited or maybe outright banned. I'm not saying I want that to happen because I want to build Zephaga, but I won't be surprised if it does. They really dropped the ball by not making it restricted to only be able to used on Green, Liberator, or even just Zephagamon Digimon.
I can see why some decks think it is a problem but there are still many decks that is faster or more consostent then this, so I dont think It needs to get hit.
A 15k wall per turn, of course its gonna be annoying. Doesn't help that the current bt18 meta is all about tamer digivolving, which makes digitama fairly unused
Sure this combo will be annoying but to go as far as thinking its bannable is stupid. Mother D will only be able to block once. Plus theyre multiple ways to either blow up the tamer or just keep it suspended with Quartzmon or Argomon for example.
Does Mother D-reaper count as a digimon after leaving the breeding area? Cause it’s technically a “digitama/digi-egg” and doesn’t Shoto give blocker/piercing to a “digimon”
@@DROD4everthere's a ruling asked about where it hatches either in battle area or breeding and the ruling states it will hatch in breeding as a Digimon with no lvl. And it's text says this Digimon can't attack. So even it's text sees it as a Digimon.
Ok, i just play digimon everynow and then, the only lgs here doesn't have it and my friends and i mainly play mtg. Just in case my opinion is wild... I don't think MDR is the issue here, ok she kinda is, but it's more of an issue of the game being so new. There are no other formats, so cards are forced to co-exist, cards that their intent behind the design was surely to not make the Great Wall of the DigitalWorld. Limiting MDR will fuck up the white ADR decks, it's kinda like THE egg for that deck. And yes, i know that deck is not really relevant atm, but coming from a YGO bg, i hate seeing an Archetype get hit for the sins of a different deck. I'd go either errating the tamer or limiting it. At the end of the day, he is a main character, he will get more cards for the fans of him or liberators. If there were other formats then you could ban or limit MDR without issue, as long as the deck is perfectly fine in a different format or if there were other MDRs that the deck could play. Also it's more likely to see other Shotos in future sets, rather than random support for ADR and MDR.
My friend plays this at locals. It’s scary but not an absolute menace. It doesn’t really apply very good pressure since it’s a slow deck and its bodies arent threatening. We’ve dealt with a massive unkillable wall in blackwar x and now with magna x. I’m honestly surprised people are struggling against this. Says a lot about the player base if they are blindsided by a deck like this. 1 big blocker doesn’t work very well against tempo decks and aces, though powerful, are very balanced due to how easy they are to kill. Especially moving onto new sets. People don’t want to deck build for these answers. They don’t want to be creative.
@@xShortRangex and? An untouchable blocker doesn't advance their board state. Now if mother d reaper got to attack, that would be a whole different story. We've already dealt with towers deck in the past and currently.
@@tuongpham7609 entire decks are rendered useless if they can't get over her. That's bad card design and doesn't promote deck diversity. Get over yourself.
Y'all a bunch of whiners. Ban Nume this. Ban Ukko that. MagnaX is too OP. Now it's Shoto. None of this is as bad as Apocalymon or Ice Wall at 4. This deck is SUPER easy to beat by dealing with Shoto, not Mother D-Reaper. I've played this deck on simulator. It's not nearly as broken as any other deck I've played.
@@SB0083 no it not, a choice restrict just limits the silliness combo of card. Leaves the card still at full playest. Not like the ban list that makes 1 copy and make the card disappeared out of the format at time.
