What a refreshing way for a student to ask a question and have someone respond and explain in a polite way. We can all learn a lesson by watching this video.
Yep, it's heavily overpriced in the US. Needs to be reformed heavily to make more available so that we can expand and upgrade society with higher specialized skills without the massive debt load. Then we'd have a lot better education and information about these things in the common thought because people wouldn't be stuck inside confused delusions and backwards thoughts of echo chambers but instead taught actual science that they could then propagate and disseminate to the general public of other fields. Though, there have been some stories of hermaphrodites with genetic viability, none have been confirmed by modern tests that I'm aware of. And the hillarity of asexual reproduction on something as complex as a human is an utter nightmare for the children so even if possible it'd be highly highly discouraged to go f yourself without birth control.

They shouldn't be bailed out, they should be waived. These colleges are clearly failing their duties and they overcharge because of Gov subsidies for college
Nope. Not only should they not be bailed out or waived, but the federal government needs to get out of the student loan and grant business completely. It's because of this that universities are hiking their prices because they know the feds will cover whatever they charge. Universities should learn to earn a student's dollar. Not have them guaranteed by the feds.
There is so much fraud. A friend's son got his student loan money, dropped out after 2 weeks and spent the money drinking. Why should taxpayers bail him out? They get living expenses besides tuition.

I appreciate people not hating on the girl for not fully understanding the topic. As the title suggests, she is a student and is still learning. Both her and Walsh were very respectful to each other and I think everyone walked away better and more informed for it. Personally I don't think this was awkward at all, it was an amazing example of a healthy conflict and resolution.
It was a good way of communicating between each other. The awkward part is the fact that she really should have known that people can't have both testicles AND ovaries to for instance impregnate themselves and that intersex is never the same as transgender
What really was there to embarrass? She is the only person who could tell us her emotions, first of all. Everyone here is jumping to conclusions and buying into this stupid title “.....educates biology STUDENT on biology.” Well no shit. That’s why biology students study biology...to learn about oh never mind
@@michealhuff2299 Nice to see the voice of reason here. I am trying to point that out to some people here, but not sure it will be understood :P. It is indeed the whole point of higher education. It seems some people see it as their objective to berate and scoff at people because they make a mistake. I am guessing most of those people have not been to a university, let alone studied at one. I guess some people will never get away from the primary school playground.
Indeed he did not. I believe she was in error (I am unfamiliar with cases where people have had both functioning testicles and ovaries). Part of education is to be wrong. It is the whole point. Some people love to scoff, and "point and laugh". I am just glad I have a uni education, so I know that professionals don't do that. It would make education a little pointless.
Because she was respectful too. And she was ready to actually learn and listen to others opinions not to make everyone believe in her ideology. This is how normal conversations have to happen. It's funny how it is not seen as a norm since those movements started.
As a biology student who isn't failing: Notice how she said ovaries and testicles. She did not say sperm and ovum. She destroyed her own point within the first 5 seconds. Yes accidents happen and people develop organs they weren't supposed to but people are only ever able to produce one type of gamete. And anyway, this argument is completely irrelevant because its usually not intersex people saying they want to transition. It's regular "cis" people using their experiences to try and justify why people should be ok with them taking hormones AND why it should be ok to give hormones to kids (among many other things) Stop appropriating people's genetic disorders to further your politics.
yeah as a real intersex person myself, I'm being nothing but assumed and appropriated for unwanted attention form the people here, and the when I tell them basic science they end up hating me and continously gives me micro aggressions every other minute it's pretty sad--
Biological fact that humans are either male or female is clear. What isn't clear is how the trans community has been able to gain such prominence in such a small period of time.
Exactly and yet no one in the lgbtqirrosmrsvx+ community want to define a woman or a man or define anything at all they just want to drop all definitions of things
She asked a legitimate question that was not confrontational. It probably was on some audience member’s minds and good to bring into the narrative of the subject matter. A cool kid. Much respect.
No she hasn’t been indoctrinated. She was confused and hasn’t quite grasped the topic. Matt was helping her learn. Genetics is a tough subject, still in its infancy new information is coming to light all the time.
That man shouldn’t be teaching anyone. Where is this even?? Somewhere in the south? Countless studies have shown signs that transgender people have brains that are more similar to their experienced gender before they ever have any medical treatment. It’s not a choice, people are born that way and there is plenty of proof. This is just one from a decade ago because frankly I don’t have time to sit here all day and post medical studies that prove this is not a choice. “Spanish investigators-led by psychobiologist Antonio Guillamon of the National Distance Education University in Madrid and neuropsychologist Carme Junqué Plaja of the University of Barcelona-used MRI to examine the brains of 24 female-to-males and 18 male-to-females-both before and after treatment with cross-sex hormones. Their results, published in 2013, showed that even before treatment the brain structures of the trans people were more similar in some respects to the brains of their experienced gender than those of their natal gender. For example, the female-to-male subjects had relatively thin subcortical areas (these areas tend to be thinner in men than in women). Male-to-female subjects tended to have thinner cortical regions in the right hemisphere, which is characteristic of a female brain. (Such differences became more pronounced after treatment.) This is horrifying. I’m a cis woman and it’s a nightmare every day realizing there are so many people who will do anything they can to ensure the suffering of others. They can’t let people live their lives as long as they’re not hurting anyone.

I love how respectful Walsh is. Didn't make her feel dumb, and when the audience was being rude to her he didn't get a big head like some speakers would. Instead he told a light joke to loosen people up, told her it was a good question to ask, then explained why he disagreed. We need more Matt Walshes in politics.
What we could really do with is an actual biology teacher to straighten them both out, without treating either like retards just because their understanding of biology is incomplete (that is quite common afterall). No one is sure if self-fertilisation has ever happened within our species. It just hasn't be observed. But it can't be ruled out either. It has been seen in other species. And we certainly do see such things as the human XX/XY chimera, which comes awfully close. So the real breakdown in communication here appears to be a confusion between the facts of sexual reproduction in general and what has (or has not) been observed in humans specifically. She still needs educating (to refine her understanding). She is not the only one. This is a very complex topic.
There is no need to make her feel dumb. She's young and still developing her knowledge. If you approach people this way I'd say there is more chance to develop a normal educated person.
I liked it too. I'm surprised how many people in the comments are being pseudo-intellectual dicks to her, as if the girl is straight up evil for asking that. just a young mind absorbing information from sources around her, not being obnoxious or anything
Matt is always so respectful to people that are willing to object to his opinions/facts, as long as they ask in a respectful manner. That's why I respect Matt so much.
The young lady was respectful and made a fair, if somewhat erroneous point. He responded respectfully and corrected her. Perfectly rational exchange of points of view. Congratulations to both.
Dont congratulate people on they're stupidity, its comon sense to know that no human can be pregnant and impregnate someone. 🤷🏽♂️ But i guess we have to be nice and considerate to some people or they get angry and hurt. 😂
..which is the goal of the Left. They need confused people to help carry out their planned depopulation, through genocide, abortion and inversion of common sense and morality.
For the most part uni is fine. The first degree is only the first level of higher education. Don't forget people are at different levels (kind of presuming she is at lower end). She is indeed wrong in that people with those types of issues cannot both "impregnate" and "be impregnated" themselves, for example (I don't believe there are any cases to date). Technically by what she is saying that could be possible (theoretically), but I am pretty certain there are no cases of this occurring. Her saying that it happens means she should do more research. If she gets through the whole degree she might be fine... you only require about 40% to "pass" anyway!! She just made an error - that is all; she is still studying.
@@laurad8035 Yes you are (in a university anyway). That is Uni 101. Not all students are good students or even listen... but the normal degree is 3 years. Many do not learn, and those are the ones who get 40-50% and end up working as a toilet cleaner.
It's bc the lack of ppl like him & false teaching/indoctrination, that prevents highly intelligent people, from being able to utilize their potential! So hats off to Matt!
@Tiger Tamer You keep repeating these three points (and calling people softbrains, saying "X" not an argument, and 'conservatives bad') over and over again but you havent provided any proof. Ill admit Im not the oldest guy around but Ive been around. Traveled quite a bit for work and I have yet to see as many intersex people as I have gingers. Ive met a grand total of one intersex and roughly a few hundred gingers. That one guy had his underdeveloped ovaries removed when he was younger due to the immense pain he was in and even now he still cant have kids. He will never be able to have kids. No, intersex is not a valid gender. To be valid it has to be able to reproduce and intersexes can not do that. So its definitely not as common as being a ginger nor is it something that has to be catered towards. It something to be treated, and that only helps the pain. So what does "bimodal" even mean? Can you give a definition? And what societies have this third gender? Are they first world or third world? How do they define it? How long have they been using it?
Yes. They are many people with physical disorders but it is horrible to see young physical normal tryng to destroy their body, their life and their whole family.
I think she didn't ask her question with a disrespective attitude and therefore he answered her in a civil manner without trying to make her look and feel completely stupid for asking it! I think this is the classic way things like this should be done where when a person shows respect they receive respect back! That is something we do not see much in America anymore because everyone is always angry and disrespectful towards something different than what they feel or believe.

EXACTLY, kids actually believe there are 100+ genders or whatever bullscrap they claim to have. Now there is a genderless person. ???? WTF A KEN OR BARBIE DOLL?? No fuzzy place?
Example of a kid who asked an honest question and got an honest answer. I don't hold her confusion against her and applaud her for trying to learn more.
Exactly, she's learning!!!... that's a word alot of people are afraid to use these days, and maybe some of those wackier teachers needs to learn from this mans simple but informative answer to the young girl...
I don't want the modern gender wars to have us lose our compassion for people born with intersex (hermaphroditism) challenges. Imagine how difficult it would be to be born with both male and female genetalia and internal organs.
The answer is actually in her own question. Ovotesticular "disorder" and genetic "disorder". disorder already means "abnormal". Means, something went wrong in the first place. Hence, it has to be discussed separately. Btw no doubt , she did ask a good question.
That poor girl showing the WHOLE WORLD THAT SHE ISN’T VERY SMART!!! Her parents need to talk to a lawyer cause apparently she’s not getting educated correctly!!!
To be fair what she is saying about intersex variation isn't wrong, but she's trying to fuse her limited understanding of biological disorders with social-media-taught politics and then is extrapolating based off that. I'd say that's more a failure of wider influences than her science education, except for her professors teaching her not to talk with authority on a subject she has 1 or 2 years experience in.
@@burnswhenipvp1337 omg!! That is the ONLY game I had for my PS. never had a nintendo (just played my cousins or friends) I wanted a PS just to play Parasite Eve. I don't know what my teenage brain was going for...😂 but it also came with discs of demo games, like Tomba! I never did get to play the whole version, but I played the shit out of that demo lol
I think that young girl due to her age and what she has studying actually asked a very reasonable question for where she is and her knowledge. Of course the lecturer is correct in my opinion but I'd like the girls question the fact that she's thinking
@Tiger Tamer They DON'T EXIST and you are not Taming any Tigers either. Have you heard the line Make like a snail and go f#$k yourself.. A snail CAN a human CAN'T
@Tiger Tamer Hermaphrodites do exist the point is (like on the top of your head) They don't FUNCTION(again like your head) That is the entire argument in the post. Get it SPONGE BOB
I'm in my mid 30s and I'm afraid to get old now. If this is what they are teaching students in science I'm sure they'll mess up a coronary bypass when I'm 70...
I’m assuming she is just a freshman or sophomore. So this is the result of partial knowledge combine with all the wokism she learned from the internet 😅
what's frightening is even in a debate she can't stop staring at her phone. Makes me wonder if she is just reading some1's tweet. Thus, why she acted like she KNEW the hermaphrodites could get pregnant and get someone pregnant.
