As someone who googles it's honestly a pretty good way to get better at the game in the long term. Like, yeah I could play or watch it to get better also, but this is a way for me to learn things I normally wouldn't have been able to learn. I wish that there was a mode that wasn't ranked so it wouldn't be "penalized" bc it's been legitimately good "studying tool" for me.

cuz 20 secs is really short time to google the movie, the actor, and another movie to then also type it in your pc. Also sounds tiring af if you are not good to begin with cuz if you need google you prob have to do that every single round.

i mean i guess you could work off your base movie knowledge and study casts after every match. its definitely possible if you enjoy the idea of the game

tbf I think it only says it if they switch tabs during *their* turn, which for all intents and purposes you shouldn't be tabbing checking emails on your turn unless you're insane

​@@kaffe5163This. Also, if I see it flash for a second, I know it's not due to cheating. It's when I play a killshot and I see the Googling Gary notification come up for 10 seconds before they play something obscure that I know they're cheating.

@@kaffe5163 wrt your own turn, it'll also automatically pop up the instant their turn ends if you're still tabbed away. Ultimately, I don't think it matters much anyway. Anyone who wants to play this game is playing it to put their knowledge to the test, and you can generally tell from the vibe and rhythm of the game that someone is legit. This feature is likely just a case of a few bad apples.
