There actually are flip out stands to hold the trailer up (the blue shin canon things in super mode), the Canon gun thing can be pegged right above that red pin hole looking piece in that gap in trailer mode by splitting it open then putting it back. The headlights also need to be pushed in to avoid torso gaps in super mode
In Super mode, you can fold in the smaller boys feet on the arms to cover the gaps along with the light of the truck on the wast. It’s a 10/10 wonder of a figure
I would prefer Legacy Tidal Wave to combine with Megatron and Jetfire to combine with Prime. Armada's a really good series even if the toys were kinda iffy.
Great review baltmatrix!!! This is my favorite figure of the Legacy Evolution line so far. I hope Armada Optimus Prime gets repainted into Armada Nemesis Prime! Keep on being amazing.
For those that get this figure, PLEASE watch out for the leg panels. They can become stressed over time due to the tightness of the joint and repeated lifting to get into any mode. I've already had my right leg panel snap. If you want to check for the stress marks, look just above the silver paint for white lines. To fix, undo legs (bearing caution because of ratchet), take off panel from post, and shave down post.
Thanks for the heads-up. I just got mine today and I already see stress marks on both panels. I’ll try taking it apart and loosening it up a bit tomorrow.
I very much love this figure, yeah I can't believe you missed the trailer stands though 😂 also the cannon can store inside the trailer with its tip poking out the front, it tabs in.
"Optimus can Vandam" Would of been perfect to have him vandam on 2 other Optimus Primes. XD Also I hope we get an Armada Jet Fire to go with this! Let's bring back and embrace the Super-Robo esque combinations era of Transformers!
I had no idea this was a thing that was being done. But I love the idea that they are remaking "bad toys" (personal opinions notwithstanding). While I have no rose-tinted glasses for Armada as a show or a toy line, I always felt bad for the toy line itself and the design choices that were made back in the day, which resulted in nice-looking designs being lambasted for their shortcomings back in the day. Giving the Armada line a new shot at some love is something I absolutely support. More toys that were "limited by their times" deserve the same.
Legacy Armada Rodimus Prime or Armada Vector Prime need to be made next. They where my two other favorites from that line that I had (other than Unicron himself). Vector Prime was so cool looking, but Rodimus was such a complicated transformation that when I finally figured it out, I felt like I was playing with a toy meant for older kids.
This figure was such a long time coming, and stands as something of a redemption story for the channel LOL (we all still sing of the legend of the house fire created by the original). This is an amazing modern take on what was a phenomenal toy in its day and for the time. Armadamus Prime still to this day stands as my all-time favorite Optimus toy and second favorite version of the character in continuity. This figure does everything right. One very important feature this take on it has that was sadly missed in the review is a fully functioning Matrix chamber with removable Matrix. Absolutely fantastic touch for this figure. I really sincerely hope they roll out a Legacy Evolution Armada Jetfire and Overload to go with this guy. If this figure is anything to go by, a complete Legacy Evolution Jet Magna Convoy will be incredible.
The gun actually does fit inside that gap in the front of the trailer, plugs into the spot that becomes the super mode butt plate, has to be done before you close both sides of the trailer onto that part.
I really hope we get RID toys in Legacy, RID had some of the best toys of all Transformers and though some of the designs are a bit dated without being timeless like G1 or fancy like the bay film designs they still really need love from Hasbro
I have RID Sideburn on display. He is just so cool in both modes. For real, he's a Viper with rubber tires, chrome parts, and a clear windshield... and a great, very posable robot!
Hey, at least yours isn't missing a shoulder ratchet. My right shoulder doesn't click at the pauldron joint with the torso hahaha. gotta love hasbro QC
Yeah, so there are two spokes on the side of the the trailer that flip out to hold the trailer up, you can also tab the piece on the back of the truck down....
The trailer is mistransformed in the beginning and there are 2 blue pegs that fold from the back of the blue boxes on the side to act as stands and I believe help combine mode stability but the mistransformed part is the combined mode skirt flap its supposed to be turned around in trailer mode to where its all blue
@@ZachDy-xg9it Yep, he got three of them in total: the first one, which went up in flames, the second one as a gift, and the third one, as a replacement for the one that caught fire, and the one he made his 250th review about.
I would recommend using Clear Coat to protect the silver and gold paint parts including the face plate and chest pieces from scratches the paint they use is crap and the chest piece runs against the face plate
The gun can actually peg onto that removable cannon part and when you peg it back into the trailer with some fiddling actually sticks out and sits further down, if you watch primevsprime he has his set up that way but doesn't tell you how to do it, I just figured it out myself with mine and looks way way better
So everyone already commented on the trailer struts but I noticed another mistransformation. In super mode you can actually flip the regular mode's feet out and in to to fill the gap in the back of the super mode's wrist. Great figure btw. My biggest grips is the lack of hip ratchets and the side skirts in super mode 'locking' into the hips 'ratchet teeth'... that being said, I am using the broad edge of the sides skirts (not the pegs) to support an A stance atm so... its something
They forgot to add the ir auto unfolding gimmick that would also cause it to auto ignite the battery of the trailer. My mom threw that away so quickly that for the longest time I thought that the trailer was the same as the g1 trailer.
The PotP Rodimus reminds me of this. I never got the Kingdoms Rodimus because it was so expensive, but I pretend that the little robot is Rodimus and the big robot is a trailer combine mode.
I think he likes the figure. He missed a couple of details, such as with the feet flipping and becoming gap/space fillers, compatibility with the Rollout & Overload set from 2003, and that his chest emblem can be removed!
Hey Balt , I watched some other videos on this figure just to check on the ratchets and I do believe your copy at least in the supermode legs are missing some pieces because the figure does have them in the supermode legs also you missed transformed the torso of the supermode when hooking it up to the trailer .
can i trouble you to ask which video so i can check it out? my copy is like ballts; forward and back have ratchets, but not out to the sides. ive casually checked out a few other armada prime reviews, and they all seem to be like balt's and my copy.
@@kimura_o2 Ham-Man , Emgo316 and Peaugh but after rewatching this and the other videos I thought Balt was referring to the joint in general but he also is the only that has brought up this issue si now I'm assuming it's probably just plastic wear on the copy since balt even tightened the legs and it's still giving him troubles but can't say much myself outside of the reviews , I watched since my copy got pushed back a bit from the September release date .
@@casualknight8962 awww man boo I hope you get your copy soon. It's a fun figure to mess with and is a great Work desk bot. Thanks for your reply, I'll check it out
