Wellbutrin 150mg 2(ish) Month Update for ADHD 

In my case I don’t consciously feel any effects. It’s been over a year that I’ve taken 150. I can hyperfocus and enjoy what I’m working on. I do not feel numbed out physically or mentally. It improves my depression and anxiety generally. I find it mild.

Thank you for sharing this. I was just prescribed wellbutrin for ADHD and I was very hesitant to start. Your experience is very helpful to understand.

Hi Torie, Wellbutrin has changed my life for the better in many ways. I wouldn’t say my Dysthymia is cured but it is a fraction of what it used to be. I live in a big city and couldn’t find excuses just to leave my bed. Now I can work up the energy to make it to the grocery store across the street 😅

so far im liking wellbutrin more than adderall, don't miss tachycardia at all. but it makes me constipated so.. gonna still hang onto that adderall for alternating- keep me regular.

Wellbutrin worked really awesome for me at 150mg, but after about six months I started noticing my depression symptoms like emotional incontinence, as Doctor Berkley calls it. A life stressor had come up, and I was just crying all the time at the drop of a hat. Went up to 300 mg and I'm back to good.

I'm a week in to taking it and so far the only symptoms I've had are dry mouth sometimes and my hands get really shakey sometimes too. I'm only on 75 MG because this is the 4th daily med I've tried so my doc wants to go low and slow because he has a lot of faith this one will be the one. So far, I'm feeling like he might be right! With the other meds I've tried, I had bad symptoms early on to where I knew it wasn't for me within the first 2 weeks. Wellbutrin so far has been great! (Probably too early to vouch fully on it though) The shakes suck and make me feel a little panicky which also raises my heart rate a bit so those moments suck because I have issues with panic disorder so that shakey high heart rate feeling makes me think it's the start of a panic attack, but I'm able to pull through fine. The dry mouth is actually nice because I never have drank nearly enough water, and now I'm drinking plenty so I see that as a bonus lol. I'm also a cigarette smoker and I have already noticed I don't crave them as much and they actually make me feel a little sick after I smoke sometimes now which deters me even more. So that is also a huge plus!! My appetite is basically nothing. I only feel hungry once a day and that's when it will hit me like omg its 8pm and I haven't eaten all day. Usually that wouldn't be too bad if I wanted to lose weight but I'm already too small as is, so I do need to get better at making sure I'm eating appropriately. The not eating could also be why I end up shakey. But anyways LOL Thats been my experience so far a week in. I'm having good feelings about this med, but I'm not getting my hopes up too high just yet. I don't go back to my doctor for my meds check in for another 2 weeks, so I'm sure I'll know more then about how I'm feeling about it. But for anyone reading this who is thinking about trying wellbutrin, I think it could be worth a shot! If you feel you don't like it then let your doc know asap and they can take you off.

Oh wow I am taking it for only a couple of days now but already get a lot more intense hyperfocus! So far I do enjoy that because before I barely did anything, but I still can’t really direct the motivation to where I need it the most. But yeah I also don’t have any side effects really which is sooo amazing for me because I always had so many side effects with so many medications before for adhd and/or depression!

My doctor just started me on this today. Never taken medication before so I really hope this helps. Great video!

Took it for adhd the first time today and it made me so goddamn tired. I hope it actually does something eventually

Ppl think they are better but it's the meds. When you stop you go back to who you really are.

Hey Torie. Super useful video thanks so much for creating and sharing. I’m also prescribed 150mg SR for ADHD. May I please ask if your taking the 150 SR or XL and if the hyper focus and motivation happens gradually or did you actively notice this beyond a certain time?

Hi thanks for putting this out there. I just started taking bupropion a couple of days ago. I'm on 150xl. Do you take the xl or Sr? I'm just wondering if it makes a difference? I'm soo tired which makes me sad cause with all the research I've done about it most people get alot of energy from it. Did you feel tired at all in your first few days taking it? I really need something to work for me my depression has ruined my life and become debilitating. I just want to live a normal happy productive life. I'm hoping within a couple of weeks things will start to feel better and start working. I saw your videos from when you 1st took it and then this one going back on it again. We're you taking the xl both times? I'm wondering of that makes a difference? Anyway thanks for having the courage to put yourself out here like this for people like me. Really appreciate it. If you have any advice or info for me about this I would really really appreciate it. I just want to be happy😢

I took welbutrin for a couple weeks years ago. I had vivid terrifying nightmares every night. I had to get off because I tried to avoid sleeping. I felt like I was in the Nightmare on Elm Street movie

Listened to this because i was prescribed this medication. I really feels like you are describing my state. Only difference is i drop every evening and fall asleep. I am not able to function on the weekend and i hate it... So i might give it a shot after listening to your experience

Was wondering if you drink coffee while taking medication?

I’ve heard that this state when you are super active and too motivated doing way too many things till you just fall is a symptom of ADHD. We are bad at estimating our resources. At least I definitely am bad at it. Either I do all done in one day or I can't do anything 🥲👍

Hey Torie, thanks for your videos. What did Wellbutrin do to your ability to think and solve problems? I'm considering taking it.

What should one look for in considering moving from 150XL to 300XL? I'm six weeks in on 150 and wondering if it's doing enough for me or not, or if I need to just be patient for now and give 150XL more time to assess. Any tips or feedback would be greatly appreciated.
