Excellent review. I think NiMh rechargeable AA batteries are better suited than alkaline batteries for high current draw applications like a soldering iron. Many reviewers who use NiMh AA have more positive feedback than those just use disposable alkaline batteries. Lithium ION would be even better but quality control on Lion battery cells are critical and when the Lithium ion battery runs out, it's much more difficult to find a replacement on the go where as you can find AA size in any local convenience store.
Yeah, I agree pretty impressive for four tiny batteries. I think it is a great tool for the occasional small circuit board job, anything more serious and you'll need a plug in. thanks for watching.
Nice review...can you try it out on different items to be soldered? Or desoldering and do another video of more real life use? Try it with thicker gauge wire? Thx it was a good first review...😄👍😎
I bought this I don’t know why it stops melting it’s almost as if I need to clean it after every solder😢…. It works but I spent about 15 min to do a mic cable waiting for it to heat :/
