For me, Voiceplay is always the best. They've made me love music that I hated as well as music I've never heard before. I realize that there are different tastes in music and it's okay to disagree. I really don't care for comparisons or trying to find a winner in a contest vibe. These guys are just the best, in my always tight opinion. Have a great day!
Not sure why you need to compare. One day one group will be the best and the next day it could be a totally different group that hits the mark. I say just enjoy everything they do.
This is a favorite for me! Anthony works so well with the guys. Such an amazing young talent! Another great one with him is "Golden Hour." Oh, or "Creep." They are both epic, 💙
I love VoicePlay and I always kind of hate when I feel it becomes a competion in comparison over who did a particular song better. I love VoicePlay's sense of humor and flair for the theatrical. But if that's not your particular cup of tea, I can understand your preference without feeling it lessens my own enjoyment of their performance. The one thing that Layne and Geoff always took as their number one rule in arranging was: If all you are going to do is a copy-and-paste version of the original...don't bother doing it, just go listen to the original. (And their second rule: If you go so avante-garde and bonkers in the arrangement that no one can recognize what song you're doing, that's also counter-productive, LOL!) I personally love their version of "Nothing Else Matters" more than Metallica's original. But at the same time I recognize the brilliance of the original work, and that VP's version wouldn't exist without it.
Ok just looked a saw that you haven’t done a reaction to them yet, they are an amazing a cappella country group, don’t start with their sea shanty, try Man of Constant Sorrow (most common first reaction) or Ring of Fire ft. A I Kaplan from PTX
