We're always seven days to the wolves.....they're alway howling just over the last ridge. The only question is what are you going to do about it? Are you going to get up, build something, run, progress in some way? Or are you going to lie down and fall to idelness and laziness? Are you a hero or a coward? Some think it's a bleak outlook, but I find it invigorating. Inspiring. And of course, Nightwish is just.....preternatural.
The complexity and uniqueness of each of their songs is something else man. There were nothing like this before they formed a band and will never ever be anything similar when they will be gone some day
no matter how many times I see/hear this performance- when Floor yells, "Wembley... Let's GO!" I have this gut reaction to grab my sword and follow her into battle.
The way this song changes and evolves is marvelous. It's a masterpiece, for sure. Maybe my third favorite song, until the next one comes along. I love Floor's silent howl there towards the end.
@@APMM58 oh absolutely. They've proved again and again that change isn't always bad. Marko's voice is so integral to so many of their best songs I just don't see what they can do about it.
@@shorey66 I'm missing Marko, too, and I can only hope that Troy and Jukka could do enough singing for the new album to have some extra voices in addition to Floor.
@@TheWolffAndTheMelody Can't wait to see your reaction to : "Weak Fantasy" live at Tampere 2015, preferably... There's a hard coded lyric video available in the Utuub universe to that particular performance. Mr. Metronome on sticks and kicks gives a lil sample in the beginning how to collect the money out of his kit... WITH PUNISHMENT! 😈 🤘😜🇫🇮💙💯💥
Maybe you people will laugh at me or hate me for this but this song for me sounds so "Scandinavian". I can hear A-Ha, Roxette, even ABBA and find something similar in the sound, the electronic harmonies, the drama. That's why I love Seven Days to the Wolves so much, it's one of my favourites. I believe Tuomas Halopainen is one of the greatest composers of all time. I'm 57, love all kinds of music, from classical to pop, jazz, blues, rock, metal. I especially love that sound that just Scandinavian musicians seem to know how to produce. It hits my heart and soul. Thank you for your reaction!
It should come as no surprise that Floor has called this one of her favorites. And in fact, they did it on their latest tour, even without Marko. Of course, every other version I watch, I imagine Floor screaming, "Wembley, let's go!" just before the energy kicks up! 🤘🐺🤘
Mine too. Floor goes full “Beast Mode” near the end. 1. This is why NW is so exciting in concert, and 2. Why I miss Marko. He and Floor together are greater than the sum of their parts.
Old morning routine: get up, walk the dog. Come back. Start spotify, pick a Nightwish song, sing along while making breakfast. New morning routine: after walking the dog, look on RU-vid to see if Cosmic has posted a new Nightwish video, watch, sing along, breakfast can wait!
This song has a special place in my heart !!! Not just because wolf is Estonian national animal and my spirit animal, but the windmill battle between Tuomas and Floor .... Plus, Floor's inner Wolf Howl !!! holy mother of Odin !!! I have seen this song Live in my home country Estonia, although it was without Marko (Marko left the band, but now we have a new Bass Player Jukka "Gentle Giant" Koskinen), but Troy really steps up and harmonizes with Floor like never before. Still getting goosebumps, even if I write in here. And that Emppu solo... He just teases you with that (just look at that grin he is making). The title is taken from a King's novel called “Wolves of the Calla”. But the conception of the book has nothing to do with the text behind the song, it is far more inspired by the film "Dead Poets' Society". The main idea is - one must live his life the best he can, to strive for his aims, because the wolves are always 7 days behind you and they will catch you if your life is not of full value... and then you will be only dead meat. That's what Tuomas said in one interview some time ago. Howl and thank you!!! NWSU/FloorFan 🤘🐺🤘.
Have a look at NIghtwish, Weak fantasy at Tampere, just so good!!! I managed to see them at Wembley last year, they are one of the greatest band to see live.. and I've seen many over the years. Love your Reactions and the positive energy you emit .
Yay! My No 3. Starts high energy, finishes even higher. A personal favourite of Floor too!oh, and the silent howl near the end too. Marco takes less vocal quite a lot, notice
Yeah, Floor and Marko sound amazing together. 😊 This is one of my favourite Nightwish songs. Also, my favourite singer JP Leppäluoto (yeah, him again 😅) is really good friends with both of them and has performed with them many times at Christmas shows in Finland. Maybe closer to Christmas you could check out some Finnish Christmas metal. 😉
Such an awesome, heavy tune, a great reaction to this amazing band! Saw Nightwish live in Minneapolis last year, unreal, was 10 feet from Floor and the guys!
Ah finaly you did my favorite (or one of my most favorite of all the favorites 😊) ! The energy of that song is awesome. Floor finding her inner wolf, Tuomas letting it all out and most important: Empuus sexiest little guitar solo... I looovvee it ❤
One of my favorites. Nice reaction. And thanks again for helping Amy and I raise some money for SueSue and the Wolfman. That mention on your channel got a good response and we exceeded our goal, and we will be able to help them quite a bit. 🙏🏻 ❤️
This song shows the genius songwriting of Thuomas. It shows how he creates tension and mood with the use of layers and changes in tempo. When I saw them at Wembley last year I was hoping that this would be on the set list and maybe we could of got a “ Wembley let’s go!” Unfortunately it wasn’t to be. It’s a shame because I love this song. I never get tired of watching the look of astonishment on your face with each Nightwish song. Let’s face it, there’s always something to be astonished about!
You can't beat a bit of nightwish, got to see them for the first time last november after years of cancellations due to covid, bought tickets 2019, it was worth the wait, gutted marko had gone by then though. 🤘🤘
that was so bad ass such strong and magical and kai is such a wizard with the drums Floor's stage presence is always something special to see and the blue and white and other costumes and the vibe of this song or melody is from the wolves of calla from stephen kings dark tower series
You might not have been able to predict where the song was going, but I could predict some of your reactions! This is My Song, as chosen for me by my wife. I have a tendency to think that disaster is at the door, and she says things like "you've got 7 days, are you going to spend them cowering or are you going to enjoy life while you can?" - I appreciate it enormously.
Hi, nightwish fan here! From holland. Some nice suggestion for in between floorgasmes...also an oldy...kamelot feat Simone Simons (epica) the haunting live in norway 2006..
Great reaction, as usual. A recommendation - the opener for this gig, "Shudder Before The Beautiful", maximum volume please! I think you'll particularly appreciate the part that another reactor called, "the duel of the maestros"!
Can we talk about the fact that Floor windmills for 28 seconds? If I do that I won’t know what planet im on. She just dances around a bit and then keeps singing like it’s nothing.
At 5:04 Floor commands... "Wembley let's GOOOOO" and GO it did. Majestic from start to finish with all the trademark Nightwish transitions and multi layering. "7 Days" is like a freight train starting slow but building up momentum by the second then a drop in momentum and then we are off again with more twists and turns. Phenomenal. Thank you. 🙏🙂👍❤️
WOOOHO! One of my absolute faves :D This is one of the songs that I constantly sing/hum at work, together with Year Zero by Ghost which earns me some side looks XD
@@TheWolffAndTheMelody That is The thing what makes them so much fun to watch(& listen) on stage. Precision, Precision at executing awesomeness of their infinitive list of musical treats.
It's a good thing we don't have a drinking game where we take a shot everytime your mouth drops open in shock during a Nightwish reaction we'd be totally plastered after that one.😀
Thanks again for a great reaction. Floor and Marko’s harmonies are gold. Maybe you would like to do my favorite Nightwish song next? It’s Dead boy’s poem from Buenos Aires, sooo touching and beautiful and Floor’s stage presence there is out of this world❣️ ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-S8E3L7ggLMM.html
Sadly they didn't play this at any of the 3 concerts I went to last year. They did play it at some but not at those 3. Too bad, it's one of my favorites.
In sports, e.g. ball games, there are often two people on the team whose game works like a dream. They seem to read each other's minds and are completely unstoppable. Floor and Marko are the same dream couple as singers. Perfect ones. Maybe it's time for you to get to know their Christmas song Ave Maria at the Christmas concert 2019? When you watch the video until the end (how to behave towards each other), if your brain doesn't melt at the latest at that point - you're not human! 😅 Raskasta Joulua (Heavy Christmas) 2019 - Floor Jansen & Marko Hietala - Ave Maria ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-q1UJHpyFQn0.html
Dude, great reaction. Just one complaint. Am I the only one who is blown away by the bass track Marko laid down while delivering those amazing vocals? Just saying.
Saw Nightwish in the Boston area last year and had no idea what the set list would be. I knew this was one of Floor’s favorites to sing but didn’t expect to hear it without Marko but the still played it! Whole show was fantastic!
@@randy13boston I am 59 and took my 79 year old mother. She is a huge Floor fan since I showed her Ghost Love Score. She was worried she would be the only senior citizen but I saw lots of older people in the audience.
The NW visuals always supporting the moment of the song: at 4:50 animals start running, tempo is going slowly up and up, Floor shouting "Let's go" .... the wolves are coming!😱
Partly inspired by Stephen King "The Wolves of Calla"...... Floor's face @ 8:05 (your video time) - like a Reaper in Blade 2 - gonna eat the venue!..... Young Tuomas going off - centre stage - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-b9JMPZlrlak.html&ab_channel=NightwishArena
