How To Make The Best Welsh Rarebit.
I took a little road trip into stunning Pembrokeshire in south wales, UK, to seek out artisan producers to make this world renowned and much loved Welsh Dish. Starting with a great, traditional, Farmhouse made cheddar cheese, from Pant Mawr cheesemakers, in the shadow of the Preseli hills/mountains. Then onto one of the best bakery's in the area for my bread, Watkins of Kilgetty, and then i sourced a fantastic ale from the Gwaun Valley Brewery in Fishguard at a local farm shop, so i had great local produce, then i just had to make it. Welsh Rarebit, Using Local Welsh Ingredients, it doesn't get more welsh than that...Enjoy.

I left the countryside, where I grew up, for a nice appartment in the suburbs....and after watching vids like this, I know I made the wrong decision. I wanna go back to the old little farm of my youth...and the guy from the bank can say whatever the hell he wants about that...back to the roots!!!

My maternal grand father was a physician, not a cook. One day, he got stuck "sitting" my 10 year old brother and my 12 year old self. He made "Welsh Rarebit." Some nondescript cheddar, Coleman's mustard flour, Worcestershire and put it on some "Wonder bread" toast. It shaped my taste for a decade but put me on the path to discover (and make) new food

A bit late to the show, but I really enjoyed this video. I am an american viewer who lived in Wales twice growing up and actualy got my "O" levels in Fishguard back in 1980. Lived in Pembrokeshire for a total of seven years and hope to come back some day. Cheers Scott and thanks!

There's a rather well known cheese shop up in Scotland, St. Andrews that you can smell it before you even see it, because such a strong cheese smell is very overpowering emanates from the shop when they have their doors open, and they're usually stacked high with all kinds of cheese in their shop, most people I know gag at the strong smell of cheese it's that hilariously strong, I'm surprised the people who even work there can work in such an odorous work environment full of cheese. You can pretty much smell it from across the other side of the road. xD

I lived in Wales for 3 years as a student. Best days of my life, this video made me feel so nostalgic. I'm going to book myself a few days away for a welsh road trip soon. I LOVE rarebit!

I love your channel. I live in wyoming in the states and hunt constantly and its nice to see videos on new things to try that aren't known over here. like toad in a hole. that was amazing
