~~ My Story ~~
~ I've lived in China for over 4 years teaching English, so I thought it's about time I shared my life with you guys!
~ I came to China in 2017 and lived in Chongqing for two years - a place I completely fell in love with and firmly consider to be my Chinese home.
~ I made the move to Shanghai in 2019 to seek better job opportunities and experience.
~ I now work in one of the best Public High schools in Shanghai in their international department teaching IB English and ESL.
~ I love my job and I love teaching!

Thank you to everyone who's expressed concern over my personal information, I have definitely learnt a lesson... in the next videos I upload, I'll definitely be super cautious of these things! 😄 Alipay payment QR codes are only active for one minute and the payment password has since been changed 😅

“胡同” is a Northern term in China, mostly used in cities like Beijing or those in any northeastern provinces. “弄堂(lòng tang)” is the correct term in Shanghai. Yes, 弄=nòng, but this is the only place it's read as "lòng", as a special term in Shanghai. If you would like to learn more of our history, by any chance, you'll find more interesting facts in our culture. Have fun.

Hi Jenna, I can see that you have settled down quite well. I used to live in London (years ago) for 9 years and I always cherish my time there as I was able to immerse in the culture and everything else. It has definitely broadens my horizon and make me a better person. I wish I could travel to China as I had not been there for more than 5 years already.

It's actually not Hu Tong, it's Long Tang (弄堂) or Shi Ku Men (石库门).

😂Dorina there have definitely been some near misses! Actually last year I was mid-voice note, riding down one of the bumpiest roads in Shanghai. (Don't worry, I was wearing headphones and my phone was in the phone holder, so it was 100% safe) and I must've ridden over a bump or something and fell over. The best/worst part is I have the whole fall/crash recorded - which my friends love to bring out at parties/when we meet new people 🙃
