Nice vid man, but i have a problem. I also linked my xbox with a denon receiver for a dolby sound system just like you. When i put the ‚hdmi out‘ from the receiver into a normal tv, the dolby sound system works fine. But when i put the ‚hdmi out‘ from the receiver into the projector, the sound will automatically played by the projector and not by my sound system… Maybe you can help, bc my knowledge is limited 😅

About 1800 in prime day right now. That’s around the same price I got my bomaker Polaris for last year. I just wish mine had some kind of keystone adjustment, and the dials on the feet are a great idea as opposed to having to turn the feet themselves

Hi, how is the Bomaker so far? it is the most affordable one currently that is a Laser/4K/UST, but I heard some negative stories. How do you like it so far?

@@DrAlmurshidy yea that was a pretty low price. Maybe sign up for their newsletters if you want to wait for another similar deal. I didn't get one as I already had a Jireno cube which I recently replaced with a 75" X90K. Very different products but I am very happy with a TV for my use case. The Jireno cube is now in my bedroom.

@@ZILLA.... Ya, I know the cube. I like the portability. But I am looking for a 4K projector as a home theater. To be honest. With the current range, and the smaller color gamut of the Wemax, I will likely go for the new Vava chroma or the Hisense PX pro, both are tri cholor laser for around 2300$

This seems as though it'd be great for movies, but since you can't get the high quality with the lights on, it won't be great for regular TV viewing.

They do sell projector screens designed for short range laser projectors like these that allow for high quality with the lights on. But they're also like 120"-150" so you can get a far larger screen too.

Thx, I appreciate your input. I'd be curious to see how the quality compares to the QLED's. I'd guess though another huge benefit with the laser projector is that they probably consume far less energy than those LED's half the size.

When you think of a projector which you should think this way it’s like going to a movie theater you don’t watch a movie there with the lights on lol this isn’t a tv it’s a projector and should be considered as such.

Two comments. #1 isn't the screen largely responsible for looking good in a bright room? It's my understanding that Ambient Light REJECTING screens help here. #2 The 85" TV's you compare against don't support 3D content which is a consideration more important when having a very large screen. EDIT: This projector DOES NOT support 3D!! I think that is worth noting.

This projector is horrible for gaming if you do any keystone.the more you keystone the more lag increases.I’m not kidding.avoid keystone by all means for gaming.it’s good for fps gaming not great.

You can hear the Flat Panel TV bias in the video. "....if you don't need a 150 inch display you can get one of these Flat Panel TVs.." proceeds to show 65" to 80" televisions....lol. You don't NEED that large of a flat panel TV either, HOWEVER, you will WANT the 150" setup just like you may WANT the 80" flat panel TV setup. Keep hatin', haters! Laser TVs are here to stay and there are SO many choices these days that TVs just aren't going to cut it with "ultra deep super black blacks". It's just not enough. Much like how Plasma's claimed to be the end all be all best back in the day.
