Thanks for the review. I wanted to know how it would work with an ordinary screen, and it doesn't seem to be that bad based on your usage. I'm planning on getting a motorised one but ALR variants are rather expensive. I suppose I can compromise by using it in a completely dark room? I don't really intend on using this during the day as a television replacement and I have blackout blinds just in case anyway.
How would you compare this to other 4K beamers like the Xiaomi Laser Cinema 2 or Anker Nebula Cosmos Max? (and will you review one or both of them later?) Cause I'm looking to upgrade my Mijia Projector 2 Pro but looking for all other options
@@jayceooi ah I see. So does it automatically output 4k if you're playing 4k content through say a apple tv? There's no way for us to check other than hooking up a PC?
Why this expensive projector looks good but worst than Mi smart compact? All seems far away from it. Mi projector looks always much better and it cost very low. How is that possible? It's also a product with lot of extra features ... why bothering with other projectors if this 600€ is better than 1500 one?
@@jayceooi i don't know if you modify the quality of the camera , but the videos about the Mi smart compact show much stronger and vivid colors than any other projector. Also the blitzwolf VP6 has very good colors in all videos, but when you compare to the Mi one the quality changes and it becomes way worst... why it happens? When i compare the VP6 video and the VP6 vs MI compact the budget one seems much much better in the VP6 only video .. and it looks horrible when you compare to the much expensive Mi . It doesn't make sense to me.
@@jayceooi yea, i'm just trying to understand how good this Mi is. Becouse it sound too perfect to be true for his price and size. For sure it has great quality, but i pratically don't like smart projectors at all and i thought i could find one with similar video quality at lower price (no smart). I'm looking at epson projectors now, some are around 600€ and they seems very good too. But if Mi compact is the next generation and is above everything else i should get it. It's also strange that it has a not great contrast .. 1200:1 ? On the paper, but then it looks a very clean and colorful one. 1200:1 is for sure measured with an on/off method i suppose, but it's not the ANSI contrast method for sure. Yes a bit oversaturated, but they look pretty good on youtube.
