In this video, I will cover high level assembly instructions as well as a review and honest feedback. This is not a sponsored video, and the cost of this machine was all out of pocket. This is one of my favorite budget friendly purchases to date. Usually you sacrifice quality and key features with lower price points and it’s not the case with this drill press. Looks like a decent drill press for the price. Great setup tutorial. I still have to adjust my speeds with belt and Pulley’s. blah!

You can’t beat the price! You can buy one for you and one for a gift and still be ahead of other drill presses cost wise and not miss any features. I’m over the belt and pulley adjustment days lol. Thanks for watching!

Nice walkthrough and overall coverage of this one. Very nice features on it. If we ever expand our shop (or maybe when I get all the shelves filled with car parts, emptied) I'd like to get a press. Won't use it a heck of a lot but the times when I did need it, I wished I did to make the job easier. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you very much! Can’t beat the price, heck I can buy two and use one for a gift and still be ahead on cost with the same features as other drill presses. No matter your skill level on a drill it’s tough to get exact 90 degree angles and the same consistent depth. This will be great for accuracy and efficiency. If you’re curious it also does a nice job drilling through metal since you work on cars. I was also over the changing belt and pulley days. 😂

Certainly looks like great value for the buck. Thanks for your unbiased review. I think this would fit my needs quite well. Did you by chance put a dial indicator on the spindle/drill bit to check runout?

I this this same one, my two issues where the 3 handles, that was a simply fix, just removed 2 of them. My second was my table was flexing when pressing hard, so had to either use my bottle jack, or a piece of wood with a 6" screw to keep the table from flexing forward on me, also switched out to a keyless chuck.

Thanks for watching and the leaving the comment J.T. Overall would you purchase it again for that price point? I agree you could switch out to a keyless chuck for time, but the keyed chuck is comfort for a lot of people as they feel it can get tighter. Any handles as you mentioned are easy to remove if getting in the way leaving the top back one. 👍

@inspiringbuilds I would definitely buy it again, even a smaller one, for a smaller DIY person. The 3 handles just always seemed to keep me from drill with consistent pressure, so I just use 1. But yes, very good purchase!!

I looked at this as well a a few others like Grizzly and Bucktools. Went with the bucktools as it’s exactly the same in most places as this Wen but cheaper (on sale direct from Bucktools plus free shipping) and has the larger motor. Prefer the dial depth stop over the threaded rod and nut also!

Thanks for watching. Buck tools has their 12” for $339 on sale for $319. Amazon has it for $340. This is why I mentioned the WEN is arguably the best drill press for the money. 👍

Some people prefer to, but many like the stock one feeling more comfortable the way you can tighten it down. I did an upgrade video on this series as well.
