I'm not sure the youth of today would have known wtf they were talking about. no understanding of irony that disqualifies most of youth today. they take everything littterarlly no grasp of subtlety, symbolism or even context. hey george, what does context mean? shut up itss some hoity toity theatre thing." Hey again." "yes, martha." "so , George, what is art? anyway?" "Shut up again, I think it's something the party boss told us to ignore. it don't pertain..dig???
I met her in 1984 at the Motorhead, Mercyful Fate & Exciter show. I got a backstage pass and I was with Lemmy and Wendy was passing through. Sweetest woman I ever met in Rock-N-Roll. I've seen Lemmy several times in NYC and he is ALWAYS super cool!
sadly i wasn't able to grow up in a time where i could meet the awesome people like her who built rock and roll/ metal/ punk rock (my favorite) however, the irony is she actually died on my birthday. 4/6/98. im not one to believe in reincarnation but growing up, and thinking back punk rock is my greatest influence in life and, although i was unfortunate enough to not be able to meet her, some way, i think i help carry this stuff on into this newer generation who is blind to what punk rock is. people like her taught me to stand up for myself.
Her art was perfect for the time and for her. Only WOW could lead Plasmatics. Wish she was still here . Often those who create such brilliant work are gone too soon.
She was kinda the female Peter Steele, or maybe even Pete was the male Wendy. In any case, she seems like such a cool and smart person, she was in excellent shape and she didn't give 2 shits about anyone who didn't like her. Yet she seemed to be such a sweetheart and nice person. I really miss her.

@@eazymethod01 i read Wendy actually tried her hand as a macrobiotic cook which in my opinion is the cure towards a more peaceful planet earth and knowing god, though, the philosophical aspect comes from ones correct dietary discipline which also includes proper food for thought. *A Complete Macrobiotic Yin Yang Philosophic Understanding Combined With Its Practical Dietary Discipline Is Timeless Universal Law. Always loved Plasmatics ever since a kid. Knowing her as the the queen of shock, but looking at this woman (way of talking, way of moving) i 've always felt that she was infact a lovely (and likable) woman!
Wendy. She was Just too Damn Fast For this world..I miss you.The Master plan Failed, she had a very Good run..WoW.Rest in Peace Girl..You Earned it you restless Soul.O:-)
I often credit Marilyn Manson for what he did from 95-97 ....... But Wendy was doing her thing 15 years earlier. Sucks shes gone. There is a legacy there of what shes done & a standard has been set & you can listen to Fear of God or Detante or RockBitch or countless other bands later & hear the influence.
Wendy never fails to impress. I love her. I want to know if she went to heaven or hell because I want to go to the one she went to so that when I die, I'll be with her : )
Seriously? Where she will spend eternity depends on your beliefs. It is pretty common that several religions believe if a person takes their own life they will spend their eternity in hell.
Nenethegreat W you are the crazy one still believing in outdated books full of lies that caused much death and horror on this world. religion is bullshit and causes nothing but evil and corruption to thrive
Wendy's finite material realm body stays in the finite material realm/universe. Wendy's infinite soul/consciousness/spirit goes back to it's true home, i.e. the Infinite Spirit Realm/Heaven. Williams died at age 48 on April 6, 1998 of a self-inflicted gunshot wound in a wooded area near her home Williams had first attempted suicide in 1993 by hammering a knife into her chest; the knife lodged in her sternum and she changed her mind, calling Swenson to take her to hospital She attempted suicide again in 1997 with an overdose of ephedrine. The suicide letters which included a "living will" denying life support, a love letter to Swenson, and various lists of things to do

Wendy O. Williams, I wish you were still around. I love that story in the book about the Replacements where she chased a young Tommy Stinson around the bar saying "Hey kid! C'mere!"
Friend cleaned up after concerts. Hers…broken TVs n blown up cars if I remember the story right. Bcuz it was a bigger job than a normal night, she came out, apologized for the mess and gave him $500 cash! She was so freakin sweet! Best celebrity story I’ve heard.
i was so sad to hear she left us but she never did ANYTHING THAT CONFORMED to the regular populous she always went her own way thats why i loved her and her band THE PLASMATICS SO RIP WENDY IM SURE SHES DOING HER THING WHEREVER SHE IS...
I was born in 1984. When I was 5 years old in 1989 saw a cassette tape of Plasmatics laying on the kitchen table and I played it on my Dad's stereo and I literally felt the energy that Bad Girl song
again, he was her friend. He just SEEMS like a patronizing cuz of how he carries himself, and that's where "dork" comes in. He has a lot of his father's demeanor, but it doesn't carry over the same way. I love him, but it's painful to watch. Patronizing isn't what you're witnessing. Just goofy and hyper.
Don't sweat the labels. The "normals" aren't necessarily the majority. They just are more socially aware and get more respect for their opinions, because they concern themselves with delivery and presentation. They can't be seen engaging their impulses. They have a reputation they want to protect, and "freaks" have a reputation they don't put energy into managing. Doesn't need to be a war though. Everyone plays a part in the balance of society. Right and wrong is just a difference of opinions
spent my first 40 years living in that fantasy world. Some people are just so damaged they can't be reached. This seems like a person who needs to feel hate to feel anything. A drop of humility would cause some people to burst into flames. Tell them how you feel, and show them the facts. But expecting wisdom to sprout by demanding an apology is futile. Just always speak truth and be responsible, and teach it, and eventually the fools will die away from the majority. Lovely thought, right?
sure. i don't even think of it as us and them. Taking the adversarial stance makes serenity impossible. fuck that. Flattered you appreciate my perspective, after having that genius Eddie tell me that his mental age is my IQ. haha
Tell me she never used drugs and alcohol maybe not but she was great!! She was the real deal intelligent sexy and ugly all in one RIP Wendy no more pain now..
on wiki: in a suicide note regarding her decision: “ I don't believe that people should take their own lives without deep and thoughtful reflection over a considerable period of time. I do believe strongly, however, that the right to do so is one of the most fundamental rights that anyone in a free society should have. For me, much of the world makes no sense, but my feelings about what I am doing ring loud and clear to an inner ear and a place where there is no self, only calm
@dylanmegansmom Well, you could look at that as sad or you could look at it like she came, she kicked ass and felt like she was done. If you get to a point in life where you're simply finished, not because of depression of any sadness but you've accomplished what you wanted, you are bored with what this existence has to offer, you move to the next. I'm starting to relate to that more and more as I approach the age 40.
