I mean her father essentially named his business after her as well as the logo being designed from her as a kid pretty good honor if you ask me. She’ll forever be told as a kid despite her being an adult.
I don't know why this commerical makes me emotional. This is just the sweetest thing ever. This along makes me want to keep Wendy's alive. They just need better restaurant workers
Yeah just need to make it where they arent living paycheck to paycheck and they would be happy too, wonder why fast food suits think its too hard? If a wendys worker could afford wendys to eat they might be happier workers!
That's great she named the burgers after her dad. I remember watching this in the interview when I got hired at Wendy's. Honestly I miss working there. Thank you Wendy
Wendy looks so beautiful. I even miss her father, the founder. And I always loved going to Wendy's. They have great chicken and great Frosties. I have also long waited to see what she looks like today, compared to that one photograph of her from back in the late '60s that her persona was based upon.
Actually her name is Melinda Thomas. He called her Wendy back when she was a little girl. She also couldn't pronounce her name so Wendy was easier. . Its what I read up
This is the real Wendy and she is awesome. I would want to meet her not someone dressed as her. The original is always the best. Finally a Wendy's is opening in London. Gonna have to go get a big burger meal when it opens. On my first school dance the only girl that asked me to dance with her was called Wendy. Its a sign.
Love it, she really remind me of her father, and he was one of the big reasons I loved Wendy's as a kid. It's nice to see them going back to the family roots for commercials
Fun Fact: She's the head of marketing at Wendy's, she OK'd the commercials. In fact, she killed the wildly successful commercials of customers in pigtail wigs because she hated them personally.
As a fellow Wendy's worker, I can second this. The attention to detail when it comes to food safety is the best I've ever seen, and that's coming from someone who worked at McDonald's as a teenager. Hands down the best burgers.
She actually hurt sales because seeing a fat girl on tv compared to the hot red haired chick wasn't a good marketing strategy so they cut off this commercial.
Seriously what the fuck is wrong with you people? She's promoting something in honor of her father and all people can come up with is her weight? I think she's a beautiful woman and Dave would be proud of her.
+Bryan A.Cal whether I'm eating vegetables or something bad for me, I could die at any age. I think health freaks should realize that they're not gonna live forever so too many restrictions on life is ridiculous.
She's the REAL darn Wendy. So, to me, that's all that matters. I appreciate the message of this commercial a lot more than the cringy "hot Wendy" ones. And, you know what, our Wendy's here in town really is the best "fast food" you can get. Always clean, fast, friendly. Screw haters. Seriously screw them.
No, she's not fat. Anyone who thinks that's fat hasn't ever visited a Walmart in Alabama or Tennessee. She actually looks rather decent for a lady her age.
Wendy looks so beautiful. ^_^ I miss her father Dave, who established the restaurant after her. T_T And I was wondering what she looks like today compared to that one picture of her from the late '60s that her persona was based upon. And I always loved going to Wendy's for chicken and Frosties. ^.^
+Mossy Gal THEY'RE SUPERFICIAL; CHIMPS, THAT'S WHY !!! I WAS MARRIED TO A PERFECT 10 FOR A VERY LONG TIME, BUT SHE DID HER BEST TO WRECK MY LIFE, NOT TO MENTION ALL OF THE REALLY PRETTY CHICKS I'VE BEEN WITH. I'D EATHER COME COME TO A SWEET & HOMELY GIRL THAT TREATS ME RIGHT, THAN BEAUTIFUL BITCHES THAT ARE SELFISH, & INSANE !!!
Nice television commercial for Wendy's restaurant. RIP Dave Thomas who was the owner of Wendy's. I love Wendy's cheeseburger and lemonade drink. Wendy's has the best hamburgers.
Bring back the old patty! Pressed in the corners of the patty so it hangs over the bun, like your dad used to cook them. Haven’t been to Wendy’s since you switched to the new patty. 10 years ago!
actually she didn't want to be in commercials after a point, she practically owns the company, she can be in an ad if she feels like it, and unlike the CEO of jack in the box who loves being in commercials(yes the dude in the costume, or at least the voice you're hearing in the commercials is the CEO of jack in the box) I doubt she wanted to bother with all of that instead of enjoying all her money
@Shinatsu It just comes down to people being completely immature. This woman is part an enormously successful food franchise. I highly doubt she cares what a couple of keyboard warriors think.
@walkyman22 I'm guilty at eating fast food regularly, and I can say that, yes, the beef is actually bigger now. Their burger buns improved too, they were bland and tasteless before, but now, the only way they can improve on it is to lace it with crack so that people will come back for more.
Everything fell apart shortly after. Because they decided to drop Wendy from the Chairboard, and P&G Sold Parent Company Oldemark to ConAgra in October 2009.
@@ArcangelOtraVezEstáEnMariona Lol, I agree. But burgers are delicious and they can also be prepared in so many ways; especially in healthy ways as well.
These new burgers are so awful and it really makes me sad... the buns are worse, the veggies are worse, they stopped using mustard. Not only that but they now put butter and extra cheese in an effort to kill us all. Really, really bad idea. Wendy's used to have the best fast food burgers anywhere, but now I can't even eat them.
I don't think anyone carrying Dave Thomas's genes would be predisposed to be slim. I just think it's nice to see the real Wendy, and wonder if that was her in the old clip (which sure sounded like Dave).
@Addyson1991 Its about the same price as Mcdonald's. I am a manager at Wendy's and a single 1/4 burger is 3.69 and the 1/4 single at Mcdonald's is like 3.15 or something like that. The combo at Wendy's is 5.65 and at Mcdonald's its 5.49. And Wendy's gives you real meat, more fries, and a bigger drink. The only reason I know Mcdonald's prices are because I looked them up. lol.
Not surprising that maybe 1 out of every 50 comments isn't about her being fat. It isn't like shes one of those 600 pound behemoths. Most women in the US around her age are about that size.
@wdwron08 No, a real burger that is cooked is the best. There's no way that as soon as I put my order in at the drive thru that in the amount of time it takes for me to get to the window to pick up my food that its ready to eat. burgers take way longer to cook then that.
