Point of correction,Highlife is not from Ghana 🇬🇭 but from the Kru people of Sierra Leone 🇸🇱 and Liberia 🇱🇷 where it’s called palmwine music 🎼. And Afrobeats is Nigerian through and through which has components/influences from all over the world.Ghanaians should really stop the cap 🧢. Jeez 🙄.

The fact of the matter is that; The slave returnees in Liberia and Sierra Leon fused the Latin American and local west African sounds to produce palmwine music. The slaves when they arrived in the Americans mix the west African sounds and culture with the Spanish sound and the indigenous American people music, Then the slaves came back with that sounds then mixed it with the liberian and Sierra leon sounds to produce palmwine music in which highlife music came from and spread across west Africa, but Ghanaian at the time pushed the highlife sounds globally. Most west African countries do have their peculiar highlife music
