I love how you make your dolls and puppets with different materials and techniques. They are so diverse and original, each one has its own story and character. You are a genius artist!
nah, it actually matters what kind of fabric you use. plus the fibers can sometimes not work well with glues. truth however, you will want to experiment. some fabric has 4 way, 2 way or no way stretch. going to the fabric store, look at texture the knit creates, esp. if the knit has a noticeable direction. you will need to always make sure the pattern/texture is moving in the direction you want. underwear is actually a good suggestion, if it is appropriate fabric texture, because usually is 4 way stretch. this she used has almost a fleece/felt/microfiber look to it. glues, fabric glues, rubber cement: this is experiment time for real. there are fabric glues to try, so different I cant make a suggestion. but you can look up "glue to adhere stretch fabric to wood" or plastic, polymer clay, whatever. probably not typical white pva though. good luck!
She used Milliput, balsa wood, wire, latex and fabric. Everything else should be learnt through your own experimentations and failures IMO, otherwise just by a colouring book.
amazing, i have just started making my own puppets, but i can't for the life of me figure out how to cut the clothes patterns out and sew them. i just can't grasp it and idk why
