I appreciate the review!!There are so many stamp positioner's as well as full size + mini "craft mats" it's nice to see their uses, benefits, downfalls, etc...I ADORE this new mini mat as well as the stamp positioner. I like to work on coloring my stamped image's while watching tv with the hubs. The magnets appear fairly sturdy even on the mini. I'm curious if I could use the 4 magnets to hold down a piece of watercolor paper, rather than taping it off?? 🤔🤔
Thanks Simon! I ordered one of these and the new ruler and stamp positioner too. I haven't received them yet, and can't wait to try them. I was a bit hesitant because I already have a Misti and the Tim Holtz stamp platform. I don't know how much I will use it. I think I like the small size and that it is easy to move around, etc. I used it the other day at a class with stencils on a card, and it work great. Your video is very re-assuring that I will like it!
My mini make art stay-tion arrived yesterday, and I took it my card making club, where I attached some watercolor paper. I put a piece of teflon paper under and it was great. I could spin in around to any direction, without knocking things around in my tiny work area. I can’t wait until my mini waffle flower mini water media mat arrives. The 2 big ones work well together, so I’m sure these will too.
Have been debating on the misty for ages.i have this station in large already. I use it to color stamped edges while I sit & watch tv. THESE tools though change the game! Ty Simon!!
Thank you for the review and I do think you should do more. I appreciate listening to you thoughts on the good and the bad of something. As long as they are honest no holds barred good and bad I love watching them.
I have the large MAS and I was excited that she came out with a mini because it will be easier to use with my art journals. I am also excited about the new tools. Getting this one for sure.
I so enjoy binge watching you as I craft. Your sharing your personality so so much more is REALLY A BONUS. OOPS.. I have tge lmake art station and love it.

I love my art STAY-ion. I think I use it with every card. The only thing that I didn't like was the top white layer of the magnetic ruler. I had some alcohol marker on it and when I tried to clean it with a baby wipe, the white layer started to peel off. Not sure what kind of material it is though ( had a paper-like texture to it). When I realised what was happening I immediately stopped cleaning it. The damage was minimal so still very usable. Still a fantastic instrument with an excellent price point, IMO.
Oh my the mini is so cute. Love the clear rules and the stamp position tool think it's great not excited with the misti or the knock off cuz the lid bend I notice sometimes I get over stamp or every under. So this position tool I'm gonna love. I love the make art station if I'm gonna use glue or paint I use parchment paper have the magnets hold it down and go so my station always stays clean. Would like the little one for the car or small projects I do. She gonna break my bank
This is why tool reviews are so important! I was so disappointed about the lines coming off on my large one that I wasn’t interested in the little one....until now!
OMG Simon! I was just trying to decide whether to get the Mini Make Art Station and specifically the new ruler and stamp positioner accessories, they’re in my basket (somewhere LOL). I am totally sold now that I’ve seen you put them into action. Excellent video, as usual 👏❤️
Thank you for this video! I’m in the process of converting my wood block-mounted rubber stamp sets to cling foam, but still have the dilemma of not being able to see through them. The mini Art STAY-tion and positioning tools are now on my wish list!
Simon ! L O V E your videos.... Will the door close on the regular Misty with the acrylic 7" ruler ? Will the door close on the magnets that come with the Art Stay-tion? Love the stamp positioner with magnets. I use my old one all the time but this will be SO MUCH BETTER ! Thank you for your help and introducing this tool :)
Hi Simon, I shared a while back that my stamping workspace is the desk space between me and the computer keyboard. I'm going to go back and look at the other video. Maybe this would be helpful for when I have to work on my lap.

Simon, With the Make Art Mini Staytion can you can watercolor on it? Do you need to put down a craft mat first or can you put the paper right on the Staytion? There is not craft mat that small for the mini? Thank you.
Great video Simon I really enjoyed it. I have the original Stay-tion and use it every day. However, the white lines are quite faded now. I am happy to buy a new 12 x 12, if they are all now sold with the new coating. do you know if they ones on sale do have the coating or is it only the 7 x 7 at this stage? thanks

Can you use the magnetic stamp positioner with wood mounted stamp? So in case I don’t get a clean image the first time, can I re-stamp and it will still be aligned?
Thank you. Can’t wait to get mine to try it out. I still have many wood mounted stamps that I love but get discourage to use because I am not very good at stamping a clean image the first time. MISTI was a life saver for me on the cling and clear stamps.
Thanks for this review. Is it all metal, or is there glass on top? I’m thinking of getting the smaller one for when I travel, but wouldn’t want to have to worry about glass breaking. Also, has anyone taken theirs (small one) in their carry-on or personal item on an airplane? I know they put restrictions on some metal things, & wouldn’t want it to be confiscated! Not sure if magnets might also be an issue when flying? Thanks so much!!
I wanted to love the first one but the gridlines on the one I received were crooked. Since I returned it I have seen many others say the same thing. Have they corrected that issue? I use a t ruler so much and if I cant use the two together it just won't be useful to me.
