Wendy Williams is getting candid about her sudden absence from the spotlight. The former talk show host is seen for the first time in more than a year in the shocking new trailer for Lifetime's upcoming documentary, "Where Is Wendy Williams?" The sneak peek dropped on Feb. 2 and chronicles Wendy's rise to fame and sudden downfall, as the media personality opens up about the devastating personal struggles she's faced in recent years, from her health to her finances. Wendy breaks down over having "no money" or friends and pleads for help as her family, including son Kevin Hunter Jr. and her sister, also express their concerns. Wendy officially ended her long-running daytime series "The Wendy Williams Show" in 2022 after taking multiple breaks to address her health. "Where is Wendy Williams?" premieres Feb. 24 on Lifetime.

She's been an alcoholic and seems to still be struggling with that. Also, she admitted to using drugs in the past. I don't know if she's done any recently. However, drugs and alcohol do not mix well with medicine for her eye condition or overall health.

I had those eyes from the graves disease (overactive thyroid) I was deathly sick, anxious and fearful. Thank God I finally received treatment and gradually got well. It took years. I wish Wendy the very best. Everyone who believes in the power of prayer..pray for Wendy.

My wife's eye started doing that with graves but she when on an autoimmune diet and prevented it from getting that bad. It took a few years but everything is normal. Wendy really needs to make her health a priority.

After her divorce Wendy has gone downhill. I believe that the marriage, losing her show, losing her mother all at the same time has had an emotional toll on Wendy. I feel for Wendy and hope she keeps people around her that genuinely what the best for her. Prayers for Wendy 🙏🏽.

Wendy made fun of people’s pain when she was still active. I watched her show, but was uncomfortable when she showed people no mercy. I think that’s the difficulty with shows like that, especially when bad things begin to happen to a person like her. I hope she gets some help, though, because it appears she’s losing her mind. Wendy is very paranoid so I don't understand why she wouldn't let her sister handle her affairs. I also don't think she's close to the family. I also believe that she tried to keep them in the dark about what's really going on with her. From a Guardianship prospective, they're gonna drain her assets and leave her high and dry! She needs someone on her side to get it terminated asap, get an independant evaluation and maybe appoint her sister. Guardianships only drain those who have assets and the Courts are the culprits because they know very well what happens when the money runs out! We've auctioned peoples homes for god sake and then dumped them in disgusting state run facilities and left there to die. And all the professional guardians I ever knew are either in prison or have had their licenses revoked! It's pure evil.

I think it was retaliatory. A fired employee went to Wells Fargo and stated that Wendy is unstable.. wells fargo froze all of her accounts and this financial manager is able to pay her monthly bills. That's why I keep money in several banks and wells fargo been shady.. I stopped using them 20 years ago..

When my dad was in hospice, his social worker wanted me to petition the court to become his guardian. Even on death's bed, my dad wanted his independence. He said, "I'll be damned if anyone controls what the f*** I worked hard for my entire life!" He would say, "If I want to burn my money after taking a dump on it, it's mine to do so!" I feel badly for Wendy being placed in such a predicament.

Because they weren't about to lose that check. Conservatorships are sadly under regulated. If you look into it you'll find hundreds of cases just like this. Where total strangers have custody over someone because they abused the system. I believe Wells Fargo helped her team to freeze her assets.

I have experienced mental health issues with thyroid disease, as have members of my family, so I have some firsthand knowledge about what kind of crazy a person can experience when they don't get proper treatment. Wendy has un- or under-treated thyroid Graves disease, and perhaps alcohol/drug issues. Graves disease causes the bulging eyes as well as severe mental distress that can mimic psychosis and bi-polar symptoms. From the National Library for Medicine on Graves disease and mental disturbances: “Irritability”, “anxiety”, “emotional instability”, “sleeplessness”, “restlessness”, “sensitive”, “easy of anger”, etc. are all mental symptoms associated with hyperthyroidism. All activity is accelerated seemingly in patients with hyperthyroidism, resulting in a state akin to mania called “manic veneer”. Therefore, mania or a manic-depressive psychosis (=bipolar disorder) can be related to hyperthyroidism.

I have a pre-nursing Associate of Science degree and I’ve been in a nursing program. Just based on her bulging eyes and her presumably low weight, she is more than likely struggling with her Graves’ disease and hyperthyroidism. She may need to take a sabbatical to get that taken care of by staying on her medication regime and getting the proper therapy. It seems as though things can only go up from there.

Wendy said she isn’t by going to work and take care of Kevin’s baby and mistress with her monthly income. I believe her plans were to please insanity and live off her money but it back fired when the bitter employee who she fired got hired at Well Fargo and now they control her monthly budget and have conservatorship over her

To be a guardian, you have to have a spotless record. I was guardian for my aunt. My cousin challenged me in court for the guardianship, but with her bankruptcy and credit rating, her husband's old DUI, it was never going to happen. If she has been supporting any of her relatives financially, they can forget about getting guardianship.
