this joint is hot..........words are so potent "and every time I close my lids i can still see the borough I can still see the bridge/ I can still see the dreams that my my people never lived to see, tell the angels open the doors for me"
i only agree with one thing u said...2pac was in a world of his own ..but how can u say anyone can do what nas does?nas has unquestionable amount of talent
I take nothing away from the man. I know he had lots of heart in his music. But I'm saying overall homie. They all have heart, and they're all better then Pac in the other categories. One category doesn't beat the other 5-10. If Pac was alive, I'd give him the benefit of the doubt because he would have gotten a lot better. But that doesn't matter.

Show HIM how its done!
yes, its true. im just saying that pac was much more than a rap artist, he never hold back, and he always spoke his mind even if he was wrong. Pac as an Icon and role model is miles away from the rest. nas is close to him, but nas doesnt have that fire and dynamism pac had(plus nas admitted that pac was the goat). Pac the best of all time mostly due of his legendary life and death.
Pac was an above average MC that had a way with words. Nas had and still has more variety. Pac isn't even in my top 10. He's like at my 11 or 12. Nas Eminem Rakim KRS One Biggie for top 5.
if u really think about it, Pac got inspired by Nas and Nas got inspired by Pac, in some ways they fight for the same reason and it is freedom 4 their ppl, as far as Pac dissin Nas, yea it made a huge impact on his music, even though the only wack album of Nas imo is Nastradamus, his previous albums were ok, not amazing
@hakuice No, he is not and would ever be,noone ever would be better than Tupac,he is the Greatest of all time,no doubt. You shouldnt even say that he is better than him. I love to listen Nas too,and his style is great, but noone should be compared with Tupac.
all this u mentioned are more skillde than pac. but pac had more heart put on his lyrics, and thats the important thing. in order to like a song or a singer u must first feel him. plus pac accomplished so much in only 5 years(recorded over 700 songs) when nas dropped only 2 albums, imagine if had that time.
Okay, now you're reaching. You obviously don't know the significance of Em rapping about his life. That's exactly how people relate to him. Parents, people in bad relationships, people in the ghetto, suburban kids, everyone you can name relates to him. Even celebrities. People in the ghetto can relate to songs like Rock Bottom and 8 Mile Road. Rappers can relate to songs like Sing for the Moment and Stan. Do I have to go on?
Tupac ain't the best rapper... He might be the best in connecting with you... but not the best lyrically... y'all need to listen to some Wu... Rakim.. heck even some ice cube
wow, u missynderstud my comment. i meant what eminem raps about is irrelevant to what pac raps about, 2 different styles. i didnt insult or took away anything that em accomplished.
Whether Nas said Pac was the goat or not is irrelevant. That's his opinion. That doesn't mean I have to cater to Nas. Anyway I get what you're saying. Pac did pretty much speak his mind. But so does Em. Em has never held back. So what's the difference? Nothing. Not to mention that Em is also more then a rapper. Em reaches out to all kinds of people. Parents, suburban kids, people living in the ghetto, etc. I'm speakin my opinion of course. Not trying to change yours.
but em spoke irrelevant things to what tupac spoke. em spoke mostly about his child years, his mother and his daughter(60% of his songs). tupac spoke about changing our ways of living and behaving, about revolution and plenty more. talked about the "plot", the racism. i dont think em reaches so much ghetto people, cause he never rapped about living in the ghetto, he mostly reached the kids. plus em has the skills but never recorded anything close to "dear mama" "keep ur head up" "changes".
nah, nas is 2nd best but pac inspired nas. plus, 2pac murked nas in numerous songs and also if nas had died in 96 like pac he wouldn't be the best becasue pac had so much material that he can still bring out new albums today whereas nas's body of work isn't big enough
nas inspired tupac, wtf are you talkin about... better lyrics and better vocal tone and unique rhyme style... ppl like pac nd biggie more than nas cuz they died... if they were alive and nas was dead, he woulda been the best ever
I hate that. People act like Pac is god, so they try to take away everything every other Emcee out there has done. It's ridiculous. You can have your opinion, and that's cool, but to say what Em raps about is irrelevant? That's just ridiculous.
That's pretty much even worse. Irrelevant compared to Pac. If it's 2 different styles, then you can't say that. So you basically contradicted yourself. Anyway, regardless, we shouldn't even be having this conversation. We shouldn't worry about the greatest. We should worry about the future of the hip hop culture. Am I the only one seeing it go down in the gutter?
