Hello there, thank you for your walk through of Wentworthville, it certainly brought back a lot of memories pretty quick. Its been 14 years since I was last there. First thing I noticed was that the station had been updated to now include lifts, (which of course was much needed 50 years ago because of the steepness of the stairway to the platforms.) so thats good. The shops have all changed (except for that income tax shop on the corner at Station St. Thats been there for at least 50 years to my knowledge, I noticed it is really starting to age). I also noticed that when you went to Dunmore Street that the mall was gone and is now a vacant lot. (that used to be a 2 storey mall. They must be going to build a new one there. I also noticed that along Station St. oppisite the service station that the ship restaurant is no longer there. (It stuck out because the front of the restaurant was the replica of an ocean liner and was there for a good 30 odd years. If you had continued along Station St you would have come to the intersection of Station St and Old Parramatta Rd. where Woolies and Aldi are and if you continue along the same street past Aldi and under the railway bridge, turn right and the second street on the left is Chelmsford Rd which was where my grandmother had lived for close to 75 years. I miss her so much. So thanks for the memories again and please keep doing what your doing because its well liked. Cheers for now.

Wentie is a funny one. Should be a booming multicultural hub, but never seems to change that much. I think Westfields para sucks in on the potential patronage that Wentie should get. I note they've taken the Boat facial off the reception centre. Shame, it was a bit of a local icon.
