This is one of the best games of the famous franchise! I first played with it in 2018 on my Lenovo tablet with the “PPSSPP” emulator. This was a pirated version, the most widespread in Russia on the PSP, containing questions from the quiz “О, счастливчик” {O, schastlivchik}/"Oh, lucky!" for 2000 year. (Also, an Italian version was officially released under the title "Chi Voul Essere Milionario?" with Gerry Scotti as the lead voiceover. The German version was not released for the PSP for some reason. When I first played this game I was absolutely amazed at how well it did! First of all, the music here is top notch and really makes you feel like you're sitting in the hot seat! But for some reason, some music tracks were not included in the game. As far as I know, they can be found among the game files, but I have not checked this myself, so I could be wrong. I’m talking specifically about the British version, I can’t say anything about the German and Italian, since I don’t know about them. Also in this game I was pleased with the presence of characters, they are funny, especially the grandmother with purple hair, which is only in the PS2 version of the game. Very funny character!😁 Also, for some reason, in this game not included the voice replics indicating the wrong answer on the last question. I’m providing a link to a source where you can listen to unused tracks and voice clips of Chris Tarrant, one of which made me laugh😅 archive.org/details/wwtbam-party-edition-unused/WWtBaM-PE_Trade1.ogg I managed to understand the meaning of some of the questions, although they were all in German. For example, a question about the official currency of Brazil or a question about Xbox :) Another standard figure for me in almost all Millionaire games is that you can easily remember the recorded voice replics indicating correct/incorrect answer, after which after a couple of seconds you understand whether this answer is correct or not. 21:38 - for some reason it seemed to me that she said something appeared on "Russia-Russia" :D 38:15 - “Uuuurish, uuurish! 45:45 - Leningrad? Hmmm, it's like the former name of St. Petersburg :)
Thanks for sharing your experience with the game! It's interesting to hear about your journey with it and the unique quirks you've discovered, like the missing music tracks and character differences. The link you provided gives a fun peek behind the scenes with those unused voice clips. Sounds like you've had quite the adventure with 'Who Wants to Be a Millionaire. My all time favourite is the Austrian edition, but I think that's rather unsurprising, since I am Austrian myself. Have a nice day!
