Were the Templars plotting to kill Frederick II?
Why didn't the Crusaders build a wall between Jaffa and Jerusalem?
Also, when I was talking about walls, I was talking about Christendom and Islam, not China! The Great Wall of China was not possible in the medieval Muslim and Christian worlds.

Well done, Real. I would characterize the Templars and Teutonic Knights were rivals, as opposed to violent enemies.

Hey RealCrusadeHistory, I love your videos btw. But I have a question. were the templars or (some) the crusaders kind of warrior monks/clerics,priests. I was just thinking how the ranking was beetwen the military and the clergy. Im also thinking of if there were any canonized saints or just saints who will (maybe later) be canonized, who participated, because it was all about taking Jerusalem which was a holy city. I know of St.Francis of Assisi and Peter the Hermit. Feel free to anwser or not.

Hi RealCrusadeHistory. I think a great character for you to talk about is Jan III Sobieski, King of Poland and savior of Vienna in 1683. He certainly considered himself as a crusader.

They did. The entire Muslim world was ruled by European overlords starting in the 18th century up through the 20th century, and perhaps arguably even today. England and France fought a war over who would control Egypt. The Islamic powers were nothing more than pawns in the hands of Europeans over the course of the last few hundred years. Today Islam is politically no great force, it's a backward, has-been civilization of poverty and decay.

Why didnt the Christian countries retake Constantinople and the Holy Land during the Colonial period etc? They had unquestioned military supremacy and could do both rather easily, why not? From 1500 to present.

As true as that is, most of those lands are governed by Sharia Law, such an example would be Christians are forbidden to pray in the Church the Hagia Sophia which was transformed into a Mosque and then a museum where Muslims can pray. Things of that nature which Robert Spencer speaks about the second class treatment of the demmi's, which still goes on to this day.
