I would argue that nick 2 definitely succeeded at that, outside of the limited roster, which cut 11 characters and the atrocious marketing. It had a really solid foundation for the gameplay, tons of stages and items for casual play, and some of the best single player content in any platform fighter.

@@AwesomeMooseSmile Straight up NASB2 is the most fun platform fighter I've played aside from PM, to me it outdoes Smash in basically every department aside from visuals and sound design. So sad they botched everything else about it besides the gameplay.

It's just funny how being shitty in a video game has different appeal. You go around, talk to girls, and can become a manwhore in both games in my opinion.
