You're never too young for a midlife crisis. My early mid-life crisis was building dirt bikes out of old bikes to crash doing dumb things. Got a 150cc 2 stroke going in an old schwinn right beside me so my vote is to go for it
It has to lift as it's got a solid rear axle, to take weight off the inside rear tire and be able to turn effectively. No differential on a go kart, if both tires stayed planted in the rear during turns it wouldn't want to turn. It's how racing karts are designed.
I will forever be grateful for my grandpa and dad raising me as a gearhead, this shit is theraputic AF bet this guy grew up the same. Love it! Hoonigan shit!

@@Dogsarebetter-07 had one way back in the day and gotta admit it was fun, especially out in the dunes but idk bro that go-kart is a different kind of beast. Imagine having roughly the same power as your quad but way lighter and only an inch off the ground…the sensation of speed is probably ridiculous. There’s a reason why most of f1 drivers come from karting. Would be curious to see how this thing would stack up against a regular two stroke shifter kart
He was actually working the brake pedal. The clutch on almost every two stroke kart is on the steering wheel and you only need it to launch, but regardless, the driver had bars 🔥
I would think he would have an expansion chamber on a 2 stroke.... What's all that metal on top of the head? Looks like a couple valves, cam and all....
Handle by his right knee is for front brakes(set up for slides) left pedal is clutch and right pedal is throttle, everyone arguing clearly dont look shit up😂😂😂
The handle on the right side of the steering wheel is actually the shifter for changing gears, and the clutch which is hard to see in this video is on the left side. The left foot is the brake. Funny how you mention not looking shit up since you didn't either
@@jimmyram89this kart has been converted for drifting. The clutch is typically a hand lever by the steering wheel (like you mentioned) but they swapped it to operate the front brakes. That long ass e brake handle on his left is for the rear brakes. Left pedal is clutch, right is gas. Funny since you assume all shifter karts are the same.
I had a friend of mine had an alcohol powered cart like this . That thing would haul ass and you definitely drifted through any turns . Gas it and lean in to it and it would slide like it was on ice ! Fun all day long !
Back in 2007 I was at a dragstrip near Mooresville, NC. Someone had one of these with a Hayabusa engine in it. He launched fine but when he grabbed 2nd gear the kart literally flipped upside-down from all the torque. Thankfully dude had a helmet on...this guy doesnt. Be safe man
