​@@whiggles9203 I don't, though I understand it fairly well and can at least communicate basic things. My grandfather spoke it fluently, as does my father (my great-grandfather was German). I wish now that I had picked it as a subject at school, but I spent much more time in Spain so I chose Spanish... I can manually type in the subs from the DVD here though, but I haven't had much time to spare in the last few weeks and it's tedious to do. Do you, btw?

@@Vingul I'm making a start on learning it. Couple of books and Babbel. I choose it in secondary school though wasted all my lessons.

From English to Norwegian via German and Dutch is a sensible route -- although there are instances where Norwegian is closer to English than the others (especially with words in English that are actually derived from Old Norse, obviously). I like the example of "vindu/vindauge" etc (window, original literal meaning "wind-eye", from "vindr" and "auga") much closer to the English than for instance Swedish "fönster", which on the other hand is very close to the German "fenster". Anyway... just saying, haha. No point, just rambling. Good luck!

cannot see my previous comment I meant to dl - either way, Elon should not be mentioned in the same breath as Herzog, especially at his age - fuck Elon, Herzog is a brilliant man, Elon is a smart albeit insufferable headache, half a stain, a loud advertisement with Ukulele interrupting Glinka, half a person, representing so much of what sucks today actually - anyone with their senses would want to avoid seeing him at all costs in this lifetime. Herzog is the polar opposite- a visionary, solitary rebel, an enigmatic and contagious one who takes in the world with a majorly palpable artistic sensibility unlike most- Elon is essentially lame next to Herzog.
