I think the day you can call yourself an above average chess player is when you are able to make a plan for a stalemate; irrespective of the outcome. Most of the time, we just hope for a stalemate in the last mating moments and don’t plan for the opponent to fall in the trap. That’s what I meant
@disguisedhell

@@habboUdviseren that is literally 416 days and 16 hours.. If you practice 2 hours a day, then it basically means 416x12 (since if you spend only 2 hours per day and day has 24 hours, it is going to take 12x as longer,so 416x12 = 4992 days if you spend 2 hours of day on your craft.. 365 days in a year 10 years = 3650 + 3x365 = 4745 = 13 years and 4992-4745 = 247 more days.. Not to mention those extra 16 hours at the end, which equal to 8 more days.. Almost 14 years of everyday practice, spending 2 hours a day.. That is insane, almost impossible

At 0:20 the evaluation bar jumps to 7.7 after the knight captures and rook captures pawn. Then as soon as David goes “ohhhh” the eval bar jumps back down to 4.5, like it just saw the trap too, before tentatively climbing back up as David explains. Idk why I found that so funny.
@mattkim96
@mattkim96 3 года назад
and at 1:20 after a minute of climbing, as soon as the commentator points out the evaluation bar gives a 55.0 point advantage for magnus, it drops back AGAIN to 4.4, just to spite her. The engine’s got an attitude
