That's the first band ever as in the first year the school was opened? Thats actually really good for a first performance ever, they sound great.

he stole that song from French high school from the late dr.artis g.slaughter the song is called savanah folks song a,k,a Russian chritmas

It's actually Slavonic Folk Song Suite. We always thought it was lifted more from Vidor than French. But it became West Brook's fight song and is still played to this day.

Exactly; we even played it at West Hardin [AA] before I moved to Forest Park/West Brook; you can't steal something that is public domain...

I went to French and everyone played Cathedral Chorus from Slavonic, but Vidor's band ended every show with it. No one stole it.
