1st visit to Leyland on the West Coast Main Line
Featuring services from Avanti West Coast, Northern and Transpennine Express
Leyland opened first as Golden Hill by the North Union Railway although was renamed Leyland not long after opening with originally 2 platforms
Today managed by Northern with services to and from Liverpool Lime Street via St Helens Central and Manchester Airport via Bolton to Blackpool North that serve here nowadays provided by Class 331s
At the time of filming the platforms were being extended to enable 6 car sets comprising of 2 x 3 cars which at present the platforms can only fit 4 cars on the Platforms
The other Northern service to and from Manchester Airport runs to Barrow-in-Furness or Windermere provided by Class 195s which run non stop to Preston from Bolton
Transpennine Express services mostly provided by Class 397s to and from Manchester Airport to Glasgow Central and Edinburgh although occasionally can be supplemented with a Class 802 Nova occasionally from time to time
Avanti West Coast mainly provided by Class 390 Pendolinos to and from London Euston to Glasgow Central, Edinburgh or Blackpool North with the latter two operating via Birmingham New Street.
At the time of filming Class 805 Everos were being tested and would enter service a few weeks later on June 2nd which will take over the workings provided by Class 221 Voyagers for services to Birmingahm New Street and North Wales services to Chester and Holyhead.
The Class 807 Everos which comprise of 7 cars were still being tested and are due to enter service later in the year which will share services to Birmingham New Street, Liverpool Lime Street and Blackpool North will Class 390 Workings.
