West Coast Surfcasting - NZ Fishing 

Hello and welcome to Basic Fishing from New Zealand. In this video, I found a perfecte weather window to try out some surfcasting off the West Coast beach for the first time in a very long time and really hoped to get into some snapper action. Unfortunately the snappers weren't present but I did bag myself some kahawai and released a school shark that took me by surprise. Overall I was happy with today as I did great within 1.5 hours which was the fastest fishing time I've ever done. Really do hope to land those west snappers out in the black sand soon when I get another chance
