I appreciate all these Pies supporters hoping for a good game and wishing good luck to the Eagles, their supporters typically get a bad rap but above all else everyone wants to see a good game of footy
I know people say that Adelaide haven’t been the same since Richmond smashed them in the 2017 grand final. Could say the same for Melbourne after this preliminary final smashing
its going to be real hard for collingwood to defeat top and second top sides 2 weeks in a row , its west coast year the righting is on the wall , but if Buckley pulls this of he will go down as the best coach of the century ,
tony costanzo Nope. Not even close. Clarkson went from last to premiers in 1 year. He has a three peat, and a rebuild in one year. Buckley had Collingwood going down every year until this one. Longmire is the most consistent coach. Chris Scott has the highest winning percentage. Leigh Matthews has a 3 peat. Think before you spew praise next time.
@@joshuasteinke2588 Not that hard to get a high win percentage when you inherit a Geelong side that won 2 out of 3 Premierships under Mark Thomspon. Fast forward after 2011 and that club has got progressively worse under him. His poor Finals record since speaks for that.
The place went crazy when Kennedy kicked that first goal and Melbourne were rattled on a warm day in Perth. But now 3 years later the Dees find themselves back in a prelim once again at this stadium against an experienced Geelong side.
Congrats to the Eagles deservedly going into the GF, bad luck to the Dees an absolute outstanding year you're on the way surely to something special :)
I knew a Melbourne fan who was so smug after they won earlier in the year. He was adamant that they’d win again. I was like, well we didn’t have a forward line for that game. This week you’ll be up against a fully armed and operational battle station (to quote the emperor in SW)
IceMan......why are you cranky? Optus is same dimensions as MCG.......in granny crowd will be 50/50.......how is that an advantage? anyway you said Eagles were best team in season......you didn't say best team all year.
I am an Adelaide crows fan I watched that game and I was so frustrated the Melbourne demons just kept handballing in the wrong spots and butchering the ball when moving forward and not being responsible and efficient when kicking for goal until the second half of the game. You can't be like that with West Coast eagles. The demons had their chance at being in grand final and just blew it. They could have taken the Collingwood magpies to hell and bring home the premiership cup. I wanted Melbourne to win that game and be good old flag favorites. Jordan Lewis had his head in the sand.
The NFL has their battle of the birds (Philadelphia Eagles vs Atlanta Falcons), now it’s the AFL’s battle of the birds, Collingwood Magpies vs West Coast Eagles.
What Collingwood And West Coast Eagles Will Be Wereing In The Grand Final West Coast Eagles - Home Jersey Home Shorts Collingwood - Home Jersey White Shorts
joel smith should never play another game of AFL football, why he was brought in for bayley fritsch speaks absolute volumes of how the melbourne footy club has been portrayed from 2009 to the present day, disgusts me
i did wanted the dees to win but yeah they got smashed like tigers last night. but well done for the Eagles. lets hope we have a non victorian team finally win a grand final
I’m a swans supporter and I have to say Melbourne has good hand balls and kicks but west coast seemed to intercept an out play them, don’t really care who wins this grand final but hopefully Melbourne can make the finals.
1) It’s been ages since Melbourne’s been in or won a GF so it would’ve made a good match even if we lost.2) West Coast ain’t got nothing on Collingwood. We smashed the hell out of the team that had the most consecutive wins from 2017-18. Either way it’s gonna be a bloody good Grannie
Regardless, the best team will win. But, its that attitude towards the eagles which may let Collingwood down. If you are treated like you have already lost, you don't have much to loose do you. Yet, with the opinion of the media prevalent, it appears Collingwood does. I think thats what happened to Melbourne too honestly. All because of the media.
Nobody was beating the eagles that day. First prelim played during the day in 11 years and they give it to west coast in Perth on a 35 degree day. Not saying Dees would’ve won but they were stiff, would’ve had a far better chance at night after it cooled down
Too bad eagles are going to get pumped in the granny. I'm sorry eagles fans, I come from WA and I think everyone knows that eagles can't play for shit when under pressure at the MCG.
