Screaming Vocab true, but florida is a pretty well known spot and it's on the east coast. And trust me when you go down form the north east all the way to the deep south east it does a serious culture flip. :/
It actually does lighten your hair a bit. My brother has strawberry blonde hair and did hot weather training in Death Valley. He came back with almost bleach blonde hair.
Something I think people are forgetting is the fact that the East coast as a whole extends the entire length of the US. People from New York are very different than people from Miami even though they are both on the East coast.
Exactly! Florida is waaaay different than NY or other States up north, at least when comparing weather, culture, landscape, etc. It is like night and day difference. For the west coast, I think Seattle (rainy and cold?) is way different from LA (warm and sunny?) when it comes to weather, too.
Marcel West-Bailey i completely agree. i was born and raised in jersey and now i just moved to north carolina last year. this is like a whole different world down here. the northeast is COMPLETELY opposite of the south east, but alas the only thing that matters on the internet are la and nyc.
I love how in LA when it's 60 degrees out the people dress like they're going to the North Pole! When it's 60 degrees in New England we think it's so nice out and we just wear shorts and a sweatshirt lol
Myself, an east coaster has a few stereo types for LA 1) all vegans 2) they all surf 3) all rich white people with boats 4) all fuck boys 5) everyone drinks Starbucks 6) everyone does crossfit 7) everyone wears preppy shit
Honestly LA has became a dump maybe a couple years ago la would have the place to go to but now it's just a dump, if u want a real west coast experience you gotta come to San Diego or any other place other that la
Not to mention everything south of DC, all of which is the east coast. I guess they're too busy being "The South" Isn't there also a state inbetween the Bay Area and Seattle? IDK, probably best to forget about them.
EXACTLY. ...from head to toe....he explained everything i try to explain to others that dont know or understand how we do from the eastcoast NY We have pride for what we experience & represent...and we dont let nobody take it from us.....assholes is another term we use like cockynmfs....lmao WORD UP
Everyone thinks about New York whenever "The East Coast" is mentioned. Not thinking about every other states in the East. Maine, Rhode Island, Virginia, New Jersey? Never mentioned. The same thing with the West Coast and California.
I visited LA a few days ago and fell in love with it. It really feels nice to not have to catch the train in the morning. I'm moving out west after college.
your interview was held in times square. no real new yorker would not be caught dead in times square. next time conduct your interview at the corner of madison avenue and east 79 street. this is where the real new yorkers live...
brian kelly Sorry I didn't realize the entire east coast was represented only by NY. If that is the case I feel sorry for the east coast considering the only thing worse the NY is NJ.
It says West vs East coast stereotypes. He goes to LA and NY to ask people. it isn't about LA and NY. So why the fuck would it be just about LA and NY.
New York is one tiny part of the East Coast. The Carolinas, Florida, Virginia and Delaware are all on the EAST coast and the people that live there are pretty friendly!
I was delighted at how nice everyone was in my visit to nyc. I needed help getting around the subway had several people help me out spend time despite the hurry.
I lived in LA for a while, and I can honestly say that everyone I met was very real and very friendly. I lived in Westwood, and I've stood on that corner he was on more times than I can count. Maybe it's because I'm from Colorado, where people are a little more closed off and less talkative, but Los Angeles felt friendly.
Its because in LA we have warm to hot temperatures year round, so people wear lighter clothing, which is why more often than not , people tend to keep their bodies in shape. 😎🌴☀️
I'm from the Caribbean. I visited NYC 3yrs ago and the stereotypes are true. It's just what I observed. It was overwhelming for me especially because I'm used to such a 'chill' environment.
East coast people are probably the nicest people ever. I'm from Maryland, and everyone there is completely sweet and we will be rude if we have to, which is rarely. Although, the stereotype where we're rushing out the door with coffee in our hand is accurate haha!!
@Jack Miller I'll have to disagree on that I feel that the east is more diverse it's more historically, financially, and politically important and I find it's more different and interesting than the west coast but that is my opinion
What truth you niggas nothing but target practice. Lol only ppl y’all scaring is y’all. Them Ny ppl come down south and get beat up. Ny is only hard in Ny and if Ny is so great most of you mfs come down south. Lol we know the south is more fun and better looking women.🤷🏾♂️ just like LA
I tought he's weird/kinda crazy by the way he was looking around all the time but didn't understand half of what he said :( [Im Italian, Im just curious about the US]
+Joshua Aguilera It's really not, Gerogia is probably my favorite place on the East Coast, but nobody ever really talks about it when they talk about the east coast. It's usually New York or Florida (where I live currently)
Being born & raised in Portland, OR I will agree with the last guy. I would not make it in NYC. It's way too busy & high volume for me. Give you guys props. I'm just glad we are all lucky to live in this beautifully diverse country ❤️🇺🇸 cheers!
Completely not true. 3 major cities. 2 NFL Teams. 2 MLB Teams. NHL Team. Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Football Hall of Fame. Ohio State University the 2nd biggest college in America. LeBron James.
Not everyone on the East Coast lives in the city. Not everyone on the East Coast takes a taxi. Not everyone on the East Coast are jerks. My family is from the South and moved up in Maryland and I've never taken a taxi ever. It's only NY. I've only taken the subway once. But hey at least we aren't in a drought, Westerners. 😂
I find that hilarious, bro... In Hawaii, we call that "Pidgin English" or broken English - back in 1850 until the 1950's, the multi-racial (Filipino, Korean, Japanese, Puerto Rican, Chinese) sugar cane and pineapple plantation (rural/country farmer) workers spoke this common colloquial language as a way to communicate with each other, while their strict horse-riding (Caucasian/European/"white" male) bosses were away. The families probably taught their children this. At home, the kids could speak Pidgin and their own native tongue; but at the schools, they had to speak "the (English) Queen's"/proper English. Then, when these children do grow up, some of them still speak Pidgin English. (It is not like they are stupid, retarded or are uneducated. That is what some people prefer to speak, when they are just hanging out with their friends aka "locker room talk.")
upstate new york has a totally different vibe. in the suburbs there is more landscape, its pretty quiet, everyone isn't rude, its calm, people dress casually, the food up here is diverse just as it would be in the city.
I went to Times Square for the first thing that happened to me I had a mascot run up on me with its mask off holding a bag saying "do u want a picture"
I'm from Queens New Yawk..lol. I gotta say yeah definitely we can be the biggest Assholes at times but we are also very Nice and helpful people as well. I've meet many people from California and for the most part they were cool and nice people. different but cool ;-) but us New Yorkers got one thing over most others besides aggression...hahaha we have more personality, confidence, sense of humor and Charisma then all others..hahaha yes I'm Italian ;') food is another thing we got them beat on too, have u eat Queens or Brooklyn pizza? ;-) hahaha!
+BABBALOZA San Francisco is fundamentally an Italian city. The Bank of America was started by an Italian. Maybe pizza in most of Cali is shit, but S.F. has damn fine pizza, and Italian roast coffee. Gotta visit up north, friend. Not as efficient as NYC, but we make up for it Japanese food. :)
Vitojjh We got popular foods here. We got Mexican, Chinese, Indian, Filipino, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, Brazilian, French, Kebab and other types of Italian food here, not just pizza although visit North Beach neighborhood in San Francisco. People forget there’s a lot of REAL Italians in San Francisco. California holds 3rd place for the most Italian population in the states. A lot of you talk about “more” food but I call BS. No one knows about Haitian, Jamaican, Puerto Rican or Dominican food around the world so just because you believe you have more is stupid. Visit the west coast and try our in n out instead of talking out your ass. California for the win
+Joshua Aguilera LOL I love how you assumed that I am Asian fro my online profile. I am black LOL. The Korean is just my first name in Hangul spelling, and my profile pic is Wonwoo from Seventeen. And the east side has more opportunities, is more stable, and is more diverse, so yeah, I'm gonna stay in New York, thx
I'm from Philly, I've been to New York a million times I was just there yesterday, I love Jersey, east coast through and through. Some of these stereotypes are true I guess, I always think of west coast people as surfer vegans.
wow! this is too funny. I'm from Cali and I love N.Y. I would never stereotype like that. I love the people from NYC I have nothing but love for them. People should experience before they talk.
East:everyone dresses in layers and dress well for anything. Everyones depressed and smokes cigarettes. West: basic tshirt and shorts. Everyones laid back and smokes weed. Maybe too relaxed.
I like how he asked the people where they got their stereotypes from. From what I heard, many based their judgements of a plethora of states from one or two states, or a group of people.
Lived in Greater LA for 6 years and Connecticut/NY for 5 years. I definitely like LA better. I think the people are more friendly as a whole. Nothing against the east coast, but I had not the best experience there. It was good to start over in the West.
LA native(also a frequent visitor of NYC, visited 3 times last year) currently watching this video in my New York hotel here in Midtown Manhattan. I absolutely love New York.
People on the East Coast are rude and will ignore you. But they are also extroverted. I base that off of having been to NYC a few times...and dealing with people here (San Diego) who are from NYC. On the West Coast...we are a lot more laid back. People will greet you with a 'hello' and 'how are you' at the store. People are also content to ignore you if you are running...and everybody (on the coast) is in to exercise. People more inland are a completely different story.
Oh really you have been here for a couple weeks.not 20 years? You dont have right. You be there sitting on your fatass. You be fucking eating cheetos on your computer bitch. You no thug
Zachary Stybel English...guy. Yes, I have been to NYC several times...for months at a time. You assume too much. You come off as a dumbass. When did I ever say I was "thug"...whatever the fuck that means.
In what UNIVERSE is NYC representative of the entire East Coast? Over a quarter of the states are located on the East Coast, and they have more differences than similarities.
***** I suppose it is not, but in the mind of people from the west coast, it is. A lot of people say west coast and immediately think southern California, even though there is Washington and Oregon as well.
East coast is way more experienced than west coast. We actually get real weather but they get nothing but sunshine so they have no worries. We know how to prepare for situations but they only get rain once in a blue moon. We get snowstorms, rainstorms, thunderstorms, sleet, hailstorms, etc. they get one cloud and that's probably it. They also shiver in 65 degree weather. It's ridiculous. We also are a lot less lazy than them. They are the rich ones living in Hollywood hills and everything. They also vacate way too much. East coast beast coast.
You and unitypuppy both can't speak on preparedness. We Floridians know about some preparedness. You know, Florida. That one state that got hit with 4 hurricanes back to back in Fall of 2004.
NY, NY so nice they named it twice. Have you ever heard of LA, LA! How about doing a video on Northern California vs. Southern California. There is a big difference of opinions just ask someone.
***** not really. I mean we have some of the best colleges and public schools within the nation💁 but that's just your opinion. There are stupid people everywhere but the so-called "retarded" New Englanders that you've met most definitely doesn't speak for all of us!
+kevin nardone from an international perspective, deep southerners are just though of as inbreeds. I know they're not, but that's how the rest of the world sees them.
California native here and I recently move to the east coats. Baltimore to be exact n yea it's been rough. people are so rude and almost miserable here. not a day I dnt hella miss home.
That’s interesting. I feel like people who come from the west coast to the east coast quite frankly aren’t used to people being direct with them. I think the west has friendly people- but being out here 2 months I’ve rarely gotten that “real” vibe from people. In other words, it was a culture shock for me coming from Maryland to Colorado. People aren’t used to the realness here- sensitive as hell. Lol
I think Cali is my next move hate the south but I've been in NYC for years I would love some good weather and used to paying ridiculous prices already.
