That's a great review. That's why I love leather sofas. It looks modern. It's far easier to maintain, easier to clean up spills and it doesn't smell, especially if you make exotic food. It may be cold to sit on at first, but it feels warm, as fabric, after a bit. A fabric sofa might even smell of the food, we make, after a while. We've had the same sofas for 8 years and they're still in great condition. Every now and then, we'll use leather wipes, to keep it in top condition. All our other sitting furniture , including the dining chairs, other chairs, ottomans, entry bench and even all our bed frames are made of dark leather, along with our car seats, for the same reason. It blends pretty well. We would never have any furniture, made of fabric, ever again. Leather may cost more than fabric, but maintaing it costs far less in the long run. It lasts much longer and it goes well with wooden floors.

The legs are strong, solid pecan wood, but I still would be wary of purchasing leather if you allow the kids to eat and drink in that area/room. Thank you for watching!! 😊😊

Hi, Great review! only one I can find on youtube! Does the leather cover wrapped all over the bottom of the cushions too? or its only the surface of the cushion? can all the cushions be taken off of the couch base? thank you! thinking to get one but having the same issue won't see an actually couch in their store.

Hi! The leather is only on the visible top area. The bottom has more of a flat piece designed to be a bottom, if that makes sense. All of the cushions can be removed for easy cleaning of the couch.

Hi there, it is made of strong, quality materials, but anything leather will not be ideal for spills. If you allow eating and drinking in that area/room, especially with kids, be aware that liquid or greasy spills are enemies of leather. Thank you for watching!! 😊😊

Beneath the cushions on the base, would you say there is support? Does it feel like there are springs in the base or is it just fabric?

Lots of support. Not sure exactly what it is, but it is definitely strong. From the top it feels like a strong, yet soft material. From under the couch it feels like wood.

Hi I’m thinking of purchasing a similar couch in this same leather from west elm! How would you say the pillows have held there shape since you got it? How has it held up to stains? Are you still happy with this purchase?

Everything still looks and feel the same as day one. This is our primary couch and we haven’t had any issues. We don’t eat and drink meals around it, so we haven’t had any stain issues. Adults may have a drink, children definitely stay in the dining area with food and drinks. Loving it! So comfortable!

I wish our west elm had the Zander in store. For it being a best seller you would think they would have them in store, and I wasn’t a fan of the tan charme. It looked too wrinkly and I wished they also had a swatch or another couch with the burnt sienna I want to get one but I just want to make sure and see it and sit on it before purchasing. 😒

So far so good. It is the couch we use the most and it still looks like it did the first day we got it.

Would any water spills leave a stain if wiped off within a minute or two? Has the color faded at all? What about the shape? I saw a exact same leather sofa from Articles and it had terrible reviews on above mentioned points.

Hi there, and thank you for watching! With leather, most of them do have a coating to help spills roll off, and wiping it up as soon as possible is always best. We have not had any liquid spills on ours yet though. The color and shape still look the same after several months. 🙂 We considered the Article leather sofa as well, but in so many photos and videos, it did not seem to hold its shape and color very well at all. We are happy with how comfortable and stylish our West Elm Zander sofa still looks!

No they aren’t. But you can open them and replace the inside if needed.
