Hi mate I enjoyed that. I’m starting the SWCP next week end and have been rewatching your SWCP playlist. This will be my first multi day hike and it was watching channels like yours that have inspired me to start long distance hiking. All the best.

Thanks so much. Good luck for the SWCP. Are you going for all of it or a section?

@@gonehiking9297 thanks. I’m really excited to get started. I wish I could take the time off to do it in one trip but I will have to break it into sections. I am going for a week this time. Just trying to decide if I should pre book camp sites or just turn see where I end up each day.

Thanks Heidi, my thoughts exactly. Is it long distance hiking or an extreme pub crawl?
@Amalaquadira

@@gonehiking9297 I would definitely say the pub crawl thing 😉

That section of ups and downs along Loch Lomond is brutal! Well done and I look forward to the next one. I hope your drone is ok. Happy Hiking 🥾- Julia from the UK 🇬🇧

Once again, looks like the day cleared up nicely for you by the end. Beautiful drone footage. I've been watching a lot of your older videos - it's been fun to watch both the tech level and your confidence in your camerawork rise as you gain more experience. Hope it continues not to pour down upon you as you head onward!

Yes. Thanks. Thats was the theme of most days, grey mornings turning nice by the evening. Yeah, looking back on the old SWCP video, shot on a phone with no stabilisation are very cluncky. Also learned abit more about editing now. I think the music was too loud and the talking too quiet in the early days!

Great video. This terrain looks quite familiar to me. I live in Bergen, Norway. And the surroundings are full of rocks, roots, woods and scrambling 😊 It is also often quite rainy... 🤪😊

Thanks alot. Most of the paths are pretty well defined and like gravel forest roads. The section along loch lomand was the most challenging. What are the ling distance trails like in Norway??

@@gonehiking9297 I haven't done long distance walks in Norway so far. Just day walks. And the terrain depends greatly where in Norway you are. But along the western coast of southern Norway we have mostly mountains, fjords, steep hills, stony surface, roots, mist, conifers and rain. Not really my cup of tea as I had my childhood in the eastern Norway area. And I am more used to gentler walking, undulating paths, deciduous woods and better surface and weather 😊 But there are some lovely undulating paths criss crossing the mountainous areas of southern Norway, at least on the eastern side. Northern Norway is completely different to all this. We have a really long and diverse country, and we even share border with both Finland and Russia up north 😊

hi im doing the west highland way very soon! thanks for this video, exciting stuff. i wanted to ask is the 'high route' here considered the easier option, compared to the other 'alternative' one (i understand that rowardennan to inverarnan is challenging regardless) ?
@gonehiking9297

Hi thanks for the comment. I believe the low route is the official trail and the high route is an easier forrest road. Its makes life easier for a few miles but the terrain gets tougher/fun after the hotel/waterfalls.

Hearing Beinglas is closing so that's disappointing, looks like an essential part of the WHW
