Walking the West Highland Way trail in Scotland from Inverarnan to Tyndrum. This is day 4 of my Scotland hiking trip and is also the day I cross the halfway point of the West Highland Way.
I leave the Drover's Inn in Inverarnan and head out on the West Highland Way in a gentle rain. The trail is wide, smooth, and gravel. I walk along the Falloch River and am surprised by rapids and waterfalls.
Everywhere I look I see something amazing. There are more highland views, and plenty of waterfalls. The rain is intermittent all day.
I have a sack lunch along the trail - packed by the Drover's Inn - then walk by the trail to Crianlarich - the halfway point of the West Highland Way.
I see the Loch of the Lost Sword and walk through colorful heather for the rest of the afternoon. I finish at By the Way Campsite in Tyndrum.
Locations: Inverarnan, Drover's Inn, Crianlarich, Loch of the Lost Sword, Tyndrum, By the Way camping

Guidebook: amzn.to/3rBZCeo (The maps in the book are GREAT!)
Map: amzn.to/3MduTOe (The trail is well marked but a 'real' map is great for planning and checking distances)
