Running the West Highland Way, Scotland's oldest long-distance trail. Traveling 159km from Milngavie near to Glasgow, past the lochs and through the glens of the Scottish Highlands to Fort William at the foot of Ben Nevis.
It is most commonly hiked in seven days. I was aiming to run it in one, though jet lag and an upset stomach due to travelling from Vancouver the day before made for a very long day.
My first 100 mile outside of a race setting. Quite a different experience.
