The only way to end the war in Ukraine is through genuine dialogue with both Ukraine and Russia involved. It's pertinent to note that the more NATO armed Ukraine the more further Russia step up its attacks leading to severe casualties. The strategy for arming Ukraine to defend itself is a beautiful idea, but it's no longer working, considering what's currently on ground. It's high time to embrace the dialogue strategy where all will sit round table to settle their grievances. There must be a price for peace, and the parties should be ready to give up something in order to attain another.
Our collective west foreign policies are based on conceit and arrogance, aggression and exceptionalism, the concept of 'you are either my friends or enemies', absence of democracy but replete with hypocrisy. We should have learned our lesson by now that Russia, and for that matter China, is not Vietnam, not Cambodia, not Lao, not Libya, not Iraq, not Afghanistan, not the Philippines, and not some random small south American nations. We need to respect Russia's security interest and concern, just as we would be for our national security interest and concern. We can't reasonably tell other nations that their national interests and concerns are unimportant and only our collective west security interests and concerns are, can we!

Nobody in Russia is free to speak freely and free fress is not allowed in Russia. And western reporters have repeatedly tried to get interviews with Putin, the only person in Russia whom Putin allows to say what he wants, but Putin has always refused. No, Tucker Carlson does not count as a journalist. And remember that from Putin or anyone spouting his propaganda you will just hear nonsense. It's his government that said that Russia would not invade Ukraine and which kept claiming that there was no war in Ukraine and contradictory to that kept saying that NATO was fighting in the war and that NATO and Ukraine attacked Russia. There's little point in listening to that nonsense.

Putin can have peace any day he wants. Just pull his invasion forces out of all of Ukraine. Macron and Ukraine tried to negotiate with Putin before the invasion. Putin wasn't interested. Besides which there already was a peace deal three decades ago in which Russia's government promised to respect the sovereignty of Ukraine. Obviously Russian dictators can't be trusted.
General Clark is an old Cold Warrior from back in the day. A young officer in Vietnam - he lived through a half hearted war effort. And he knows that is no way to fight a war.

He's right about the necessity for ambiguity. Too often officials and politicians speak of the war in terms of a game of tennis: you can't do this, you can do this, don't fire missiles over this line, play fair with the enemy, etc.

You don't get to dictate what the analyst says. This is not Russian state tv. This war is Russias problem. They started this war. They knew it would be over in 3 days. Maybe they just don't know how to count. If they wouldn’t have attacked Israel we would say the same but they did so Israel has right to self defense. Over a 1000 Israelis have been killed in the attack. Ukraine never invaded or attacked Russia.

@@geralditoe3093 Syria & other countries were fighting for freedom. Russia attacked Afghanistan before Muslim extremists & they were armed & trained. Serbia was engaged in ethnic cleansing. Iraq was a war crime over oil. All of the countries you mentioned involved Muslim terrorist groups, Russia or both, it was Russia who bombed Syrian citizens homes & hospitals. Ukraine was a country of peace, trying to root out old Russian corruption prevalent there; that is what Zelensksyy's comedy was about & why he won with a huge majority. Nevertheless, if NATO gets involved it should ensure a stable democratic outcome, but this is not easy with a population of opposing ideals.
The United States supplies mainly Ukraine with weapons, which must be replaced with more modern ones. And the money allocated by Congress for Ukraine mostly remains in the United States and goes towards the production of more modern weapons. The United States must periodically produce more modern weapons, otherwise they may become a victim of aggression because the United States has dangerous enemies - China, Russia, Iran, etc.

Actually, there is strong indication that the strike action is a repeat of what Ukraine once claimed that Russia fires missiles into Poland until it was discovered that it was Ukraine that fired the missile, not Russia. A coincidence that the strike came a day or two before NATO nations met in the US? A way for Ukraine to solicit further NATO support and justification? These bombings are no longer black and white. Zelensky, too, can do anything to keep the war going for his pockets. What would Russia gained by bombing children's hospital? The Russia UN Ambassador denied the bombing was made by Russia.

Those F-16s will not be "game changer" or " savior". Stop being delusional. Ukrain will use them with freshly trained rookie pilots versing years of experience on the other side.
