Back in the 1990s I hiked here with the Sierra Club. It was 95 degrees and we were here. Our tough bushwhacking leader stated let go straight down this hill from the Outlook. I was like 110 lbs then and remember sliding down the hill and grabbing at narrow tree trunks hoping nothing bad happened. We hiked through poison Ivy and mosquitoes along the water. I’ll never forget that hike. Even our leader Dick, a Physics teacher at University Of Pittsburgh, was getting tired and we got a little lost here and he flipped out his compass to get us on the path.

Love the overlook! So beautiful. Never been to WV but would love to visit! I would visit for the maple candy alone! Do you remember when BUN candy bars had a maple cream....oh my gosh was my favorite ever and I still order maple cookies from Canada. 😋 The park looks a LOT like the park just down the road from me. Brown County State Park in Nashville, Indiana. We are at peak leaf viewing season right now. I would like to remain friends with Bobbie but it might be fun to watch John eat some crickets....might help with the vitamin deficiency from lack of vegetables. lolololololol

Absolutely Beautiful there. So okay you two. I finally tried Gus’s fried chicken. And oh my gosh is it the best. We got the 2 piece with Cole slaw, greens and Mac and cheese. The Best fried chicken we have ever had. The ice tea was great as well. They had homemade pies for dessert and we got the pecan pie. Did not know they had Gus’s out here. Thank you two for your videos. I just love you guys.

She did an ultra run race in the park recently and loved it and plans to go back!! At the time I suggested she watch your first video on the park!! She was surprised I had heard of the park! I hate when people eat bugs on RU-vid. Usually they are walking around a Marketplace somewhere in Asia, and then just for the shock value they munch on a dried-out tarantula or roach. There are some things I will never eat and that list includes bugs.🕷🕸🤔😂😂😂
