Being a native northern Californian with all the fires we've been through and knowing about all the fires my fellow oregonians have been through, I couldn't help but notice that the burned areas you were working in look like they could have been more properly managed. If these forests are managed like a renewable source of wood it wouldn't have come down to you guys scrambling to salvage the timber after a catastrophic wildfire. And think about the job security for current and future timberfallers!
